Is this allowed? We are going to Disney in December, and I wanted to wrap a few small gifts for ds to open on the plane, but I didn't know if that would be a problem.

Also, there may be a few more in our checked bags- like some new pjs, and a few small toys. Will this be a problem? Has anyone had experience with this?

We went to WDW last December for Christmas. At that time, Southwest would not allow any wrapped gifts on the plane. I shipped mine to WL along with a small Christmas tree and a few other things. It worked great.

Wrapped gifts are a big no-no. Take gift bags or wait til you get there to wrap them.

Bummer. I was afraid of that....guess I will be unwrapping ds gifts before our trip. Thanks for the quick responses!

Pssst... park maps make great wrapping paper.

Can you bring a few gift bags and some tissue paper and "wrap" them once you pass security?

Gift bags are the way to go. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for the advice. I will have to figure out what to do....I am not sure my 4 year old son will be too excited with a gift bag, lol. Maybe I could take plain wrapping paper and try to hide somewhere once we go through security and wrap them quick before we get on the plane. I was hoping that would keep him occupied for the trip, and kick off the excitement! He will be seeing the ocean for the first time on the day we arrive, so I got him a few themed items to open on the plane to get him into it ;)

You know I thought too that wrapped gifts were a big no no and I wouldn't chance it but I was going through security last week and the guy in front of me had a wrapped present that went through the xray machine and they did not bother it or comment on it. It was fairly big too - looked like a wrapped picture.
