The latest I heard in the paper this morning was that the fight started because Chris got a text message from a girl, and Rhianna was furious about it. I don't know how true it is though.

Well, I know I would be more than just a little angry if someone gave me an incurable disease (from apparently cheating on me) that would also affect every other dating/sexual relationship I had for the rest of my life.

Did she rape him? Sex carries risks. If he contracted herpes from her by having consensual sex then he gambled and lost. There is no justification for physical violence, ever, by men or women. Women sometimes are the aggressors, too, and that is equally unacceptable.

Dh heard on the radio yesterday that they were arguing at the party, prior to this whole thing going down. Rumor is that he was having a fling with some singer/actress and she found out about it. Maybe the text?

Sadly, HE also has an opportunity to do something good from this, if he is brave enough to get help and stand up as someone who made a HORRIBLE decision. I don't know if he'd actually have the you-know-whats to do it, but someone famous admitting what they did, getting help, taking responsiblity for his actions and using his fame to hopefully encourage others who might make the same bad decisions to seek help BEFORE it happens could be a good thing too.

Either way, I hope this is one relationship that ends and that he faces legal action.

This is very true. The best outcome of this entire ordeal; would be for both of them to have the courage to take a stance against domestic violence. I truly hope she's able to have the courage to stand up for herself, get out of the relationship and become a role model; and I just as much hope he's responsable enough to publically accept what he's done, face the legal action taking resonablility for it and be man enough to get the help he needs, and to also become a spokesperson for domestic violence. That would the best outcome possible, and since his mom was a victim (as was he as the child) I'm hoping if anyone has a chance to face up to what they've done and try to make something good out of it; maybe just maybe it'll be him.

OMG, I am completely appalled by this line of thinking. It is attitudes like this in both men and women that allow this viscious cycle to continue. It is not just Chris Brown who needs professional help, it is everyone who honestly thinks this way, that there is anything that can be said that can be used to "justify" beating them. I feel sick.

Very true. Anyone who thinks this way needs to get into some kind of therapy. It's completely disgusting.

February 10, 2009. A friend of Chris Brown reached out to MediaTakeOut.com, offering us this explanation of what happened on Saturday night:

[Rihanna is] outrageously jealous and insecure. So [Chris] would get into arguments and fights with her. He never hit her once but she'd [allegedly] smack him, bite him and scratch him and once he even got hit in the balls kinda' hard. So [she] got into the habit of hitting him because to her it was fine since he never hit her back.

[On Saturday night, Chris] finally told her to shut the f*ck up and it's over. So she socked the **** out of him while he was driving and kept on hitting him until he crashed into a parked car.

[Chris] then got out of the car and tried to pull her out and got hit in the face some more numerous times. Scratched up and everything.

Simply because he was done with all of the drama. Anyway when she smacked him this last time he smacked her back. So he [left Rihanna there alone].

Hurt from banging her face on the windshield/dashboard from the car accident [somebody] then called the cops and [Rihanna] told them that [Chris] whipped her ***.

[Later the next day, Chris] wanted to go get his things from her apt to go to a hotel and saw a million cop cars there.

So he left and when he sent us to retrieve his stuff, this girl didn't want to let us get his 6 bags of stuff. She said tell him to come get it himself … Tell him to answer his phone and that I'm sorry we can work this out. To which I said, hell no my friend isn't coming anywhere near here. It's too late for all of that. He just wants his luggage and you guys need never to see each other anymore….

This seems like a very interesting story. Of course we have absolutely no way to know whether it’s true or just damage control.

It does get a little tricky however. You’ll recall that initially both Rihanna and Chris’ people were claiming that Rihanna was injured in a “traffic accident.” Also, according to TMZ, their Lamborghini was towed from the scene of the alleged assault in Hancock Park to a nearby police impound lot. Could the car have been damaged???

I'm not buying it. Especially in light of the photos of the Lamborghini.

Okay, let's say for a minute this "story" is true...

if it is true, then his "friend" had it right, when he said this (above) is what Chris should have done... either way he didn't and he chose to do the wrong thing and he should be prosecuted for it. If he's saying she hit him too ect. than he should report that and she should also be prosecuted for it. None of it excuses his still very bad choice, even if this "story" is entirely true (which I'm sure it's not at the very least entirely true)...nope he still made the wrong choice.

That doesn't mean you beat and choke them. And he didn't just at that moment discover he had herpes (if true.) If he's SO angry about it he shouldn't have been around her.

Everything is speculation... I would never condone a guy hitting a girl, but, again, gossip and speculation I've heard give him a reason that many at my work have said it makes sense that he snapped - dunno...
'Supposedly' she gave him an STD, which, in their 3 yrs together, shouldn't have ever appeared...

There are 2 sides to every story, and I'm sure I'll get flamed for even bringing up a defense for him... I'm not defending him.... I'm just putting out there the shock that may have put him over the edge...
Of course, as I read here...it was alot more than one punch which is what I initially heard.

Again... we don't know these people, we have no idea the whole story that took place.

IMO, this kind of speculation victimizes the victim again. No one who has legitimate proof of that kind of detail can legally release that kind of info because that alone is a violation of the law.
