Rihanna's Injuries -- "Horrific"

Law enforcement sources have now gotten specific with us... police took pictures of Rihanna's injuries and they are "horrific."

As we reported, the photos show major contusions on both sides of the singer's face -- there is serious swelling and bruising. Her lip is split and her nose bloody. We have now confirmed there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers.

And we now know this... Rihanna claims Brown struck her with his fists and that's what did the damage. There was no object used in the alleged attack.

Rihanna refused treatment at the scene, but before she left cops took photos. We're told the photos alone are "devastating proof of abuse."

And we've learned it was not Rihanna who called 911. Someone in the area heard her screams and called.

Being that Rhianna is one of the hottest artists right now, plus Jay Z's protege, I don't think Brown could have blacklisted himself any quicker. He seemed like such a nice guy! The whole situation is just crazy. I sincerely hope she recovers soon. Poor thing.

I thought he seemed like a nice guy as well. Normally I don't pay much attention to the Hollywood gossip because truth and accuracy are usually optional, but I'm going to keep looking for info on this one, because I've been a fan of both of them for a while.

That is really sad. I read an article on ohnotheydidnt.livejournal and it was an older interview he gave about the abuse his mother received from his step father. He mentioned he would never become that person. :/ I hope Rihanna is okay and gets the support she needs from friends and family

Unfortunately Chris is a product of his upbringing (no that's not an excuse).
Chris's mom was horribly abused by his step dad. Children of abusers often grow up to be abusers.
Rihannas parent are reportedly flying in from Barbadoes to get their daughter.

She has an opportunity to do something really powerful if she can see the abuse for what it really is. Obviously this is very fresh, but once she has healed and received help let's hope she takes a stand against domestic violence. Men need to stand up, too.

That's horrible. Considering Chris Brown's past and his stated determination to not be that kind of man, I'd hope he feels pretty damned awful right now and gets himself some help. You can't always just say you're not going to be like an abusive parental figure and succeed. Sometimes you need counseling, someone to help you stop the cycle.

I hope Rihanna will be okay and stays far away from Chris.

They were in LA for the Grammys and were on their way home from Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party.

The sad truth is that I bet he has no long-term negative consequences. Look at R. Kelly-- multiple sex charges involving minors and his lawyer was able to drag it out for years and he's doing just fine in terms of sales. You call someone the n-word and you get vilified and your career is toast, but you beat a woman or have sex/film yourself having sex with a minor and it's all good.

Thats not 100% true - look at... whats his name - the guy on the radio that made fun of the womens basketball team, pretty much called them everything in the book other than the N-bomb.... Imus - he got his raido show back, and hes at it again, saying nasty things about anyone black.

So the moral of the story is - you can get away with anything and everything - just depends on who you are, and who you know.
