To say that she saw we recently returned from HHI and she wanted to make sure that the trip went well and see if I had any issues that I felt needed to be reported. (We did not have any troubles; it was a great trip)

I've never known a guide to check on you after a trip and make sure things were okay at the resort. I know this is not in the guides normal roles & responsibilities - but I am really, really impressed. :worship:

I'll be writing a letter to commend her to management. Little gestures go along way to making you feel like a valued customer/member. :thumbsup2

Wait until the next call when they find out if you want to add on there!;)

That is rare, that shows the guide really cares about their customer. They know with service like that you will recommend them to someone else.

Kudo's to them from someone who works in the customer service industry:thumbsup2

Wow! My guide has never called me before, during, or after a trip.

Wow, my guide has called me during every trip except one. We have been DVC members since Aug. 2005. We have gone as DVC members 7 times and she's called me everytime except my last one in October 2007. She has also called my daughter too when she's been vacationing in WDW on my points (3 times now). I thought it was normal. And BTW, no she's never called me to solicit me to buy more points. I do that all by myself. Glad to see the OPs guide went the extra step too. My guide said every week she picks up a print out and checks for her members. I didn't know that all guide didn't do this until seeing this post. :confused3

WOW - you have a good guide! We have never heard from our guide, not once, since we signed the papers to buy our initial contract 2 years ago. (I think it would have been nice of her to contact us when the contract closed to congratulate us and 'officially' welcome us.) We didn't even get to talk to her when we did the add-on! (someone was filling in for her - jeez, maybe she could have sent a note or something saying 'glad you're enjoying DVC'!) :confused3

(We love DVC, not too happy with our guide -- can you tell?!!! :rotfl: )

Our Guide has called us our last 2 trips while we were there...... in July 2007 and New Years 2007 /2008. He just calls to see how we are doing and if there is anything he can do for us. It is a nice touch! We will see if he calls us again in July 2008!

Our guide is Michael Johnson.

We have never received a call from our guide since joining in 2001--and we have had to call him for each of the 6 add ons we have done. My son who has a different guide has also never received a call.

How nice it would be to think your guide cared enough to ask about your trip.

We have never received a call either since 1998. Hmmm... and you just added AKV too. I guess she was just being.... nice... Go figure. :goodvibes

My guide (Jim McCoy) called to congratulate us and welcome to the Disney family after i bought a RESALE contract!!! I thought that was very nice and made me want to recommend him to all my friends and buy an add-on.

What is a guide and do I have one? Obviously since 1997 we've never received a call from one, so I don't think we even have one?!?!?!:confused3

My guide has called before our trip to make sure everything was set. It was our first trip so I am not sure it was the norm. ;)

One trip so far as with DVC and our guide called and left a message to just say hello on the first day of our trip to OKW last August. I'm betting he will call again when we stay at AKV in April.

My guide calls during almost every trip. I'm never in the room when she calls so she leaves a message. She doesn't outwardly solicit me to buy more, just says hello and says she hopes the trip's going well. She said once she'd seen that I went to Disneyland Paris on points and she wanted to know how that went.

We have always received calls from our guide. I thought it was a normal thing. Now, I feel special. :thumbsup2

Same here, We went twice to WDW last year and got a call from our guide in both times.

My guide has called during each of our two trips to WDW. She has also called 3 times over the last 2 years to enquire about the health of my mother, since I mentioned she is battling Cancer. (I am not kidding about this) She is a really great guide.

Our guide calls on our trips too!!! I thought it was normal but now I will appreciate it more. :yay:

My guide calls on most trip to welcome us home and ask if we nead anything. I do like that he calls makes you feal like he cares about his members.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Bernard Lebeaupin is his name
