Yay!!! Just got off the phone with USGB. I'm getting $343.11 for just a couple rings from my teen years and a wedding band dh broke. Now if I can only hide this $$ for our vacation

I received a phone call, and just looked at my settlement offer..$553.91, some pieces were not gold and they will send them back I'm happy!!! Who knew I had $$$ sitting in my jewelry box!!! Thanks to whoever started this thread. What else can I look for to make some extra money??????

No....go to their website, and there is a form you can download, just follow the instructions as to how to fill out the fedex form....they pay for the shipping.

Same here. Last time they delivered around teh same time and I got a phone call by 1130. Today im still waiting. DH has asked me like 3 times if theyve called yet. lol.

Last week I got my offer on a Wed and recevd the check on Sat, someone else got an offer teh same day and recvd on Mon.

Ok just got my offer. 301.76. I took it for the crappy stuff I sent in. 3 pieces werent gold and unfortunately they were the heaviest things. Im happy, its 301 more than I had and will get DH a couple of new tires.

YES! If it is something that you're not going to use, it is very well worth the effort. It's money you don't have right now, and the way I looked at it, I'd rather have the money than the gold sitting collecting dust. If you make $10, that's $10 you didn't have!

Thank you for the reply, it is most definitely a good point that you make, I was thinking that too, but when you read post after post of people making hundreds of dollars, then there is your tiny and I do mean tiny gold collection, it is a wee bit embarrassing and intimidating.
One of the gold companies, am trying to remember which one right now, offers 10% above standard rates for Dis board members. Perhaps I will contact that one, once I remember the name.

Got the call earlier this afternoon and will be getting a check in the mail. I sent in about 9 oz worth of gold- broken bracelets, mismatched earrings, gaudy stuff that I inherited from my mother that will never be work. Was offered $4,130

Now, to put the money to good use. Of course, I see a Disney trip in our future.

If I am understanding this correctly, gold fellow deducts money from your settlement if it is a small amount? that is like having to pay taxes, when you are grossly underpaid.
