I sent my gold on Tuesday and got my offer on Wednesday morning. Check arrived with today's mail. I think thats really good customer service.

I got my settlement offer on Wednesday too. Oh well...mail already came today, but hopefully Monday my check will be there! Too bad I didn't have more to send.

I took my gold to one of the local dealers today that were holding an event at a hotel. Luckily, I've been reading this thread so I knew a little about what to expect. They tested everything and there were a few pieces that weren't gold.

They told me I had 125 pennyweight and they offered me $700!!

DH was shocked when I called him and told him. He thought I would only get $200-$300 for all of it. I guess I will send everything off to USGB - unless I decide to wait a bit to see if gold goes up. Now, I want to try and figure out how much I would get from USGB.

I sent mine with the stones in it. They weren't anything that I necessarily wanted back. In my quote it said that they were sending some things back that weren't gold - I am thinking it may have been the stones. I used GF. I'll let you know.

Okay friends, I'm taking the plunge. I gathered up my "stash" and its in the envelope ready to go. I'm going with Goldfellows, since its been posted they give 10% for DISboard members. I'll drop it off tomorrow and will keep everyone posted. Keeping my fingers crossed this works out well for me.

DO NOT use Cash4Gold; if I remember correctly, several people had MAJOR problems with them a few pages back!!!

From what I understand from previous posters, on your ticket you put DIS board member highlight it and they add an additional 10 percent to your settlement. Maybe you should call them and tell them?

Yes, when I was unsure of which company to use, fellow board members mentioned that Goldfellows will pay 10% over for DISboard members.

iN ONe of the earlier posts someone mentioned Cash 4 Gold and said they were horrible,.

I'd avoid them.
