Okay -- I just couldn't wait any longer. I just got off the phone with USGB -- They received my package at 9:01 on Monday (4/7). I waited until after the 48 hours and then called. They told me they are way, way backed up and apologized over and over for the delay. I told them there are about a 1,000 people on this website that are keeping tabs on how they do, so......I also mentioned that goldfellows seemed to be winning on "customer service" -- (didn't think it hurt a little to show them they have competition, lol).
Anyway-- just wanted to give an update to those of you still waiting, or deciding where to send your gold.

Somebody please send me some patience!

They'll leave a message for you. This happened to me. They called me about 5:45, I called back at 6pm. They asked if I knew who had called me, and they connected me to him.

I've been debating back and forth between the two. I called USgoldbuyers today to get their account number for shipping since I already have the fedex shipping supplies. The lady I spoke with was extremely nice. She said it is extremely important to include as much information as possible when sending items. By this she meant name, address, phone numbers for day and night, email address. As everyone here said, they are extremely busy. I'm choosing here because their payout is larger and I felt comfortable with them after talking with her on the phone.

I wasn't home when they called. They left a msg for me to log onto my account and check my settlement amount. You can also approve or deny it online.

Phew! I have read all 77 pages of this thread and have decided to send off my gold tomorrow. I'm using USGB because I'd really like the maximum payout possible since I don't have all that much gold.

Grand total:

$891.70 for 43.6 dwt!
I am very happy with that amount. Two of my earrings turned out not to be real gold, and the ring I thought was 22K turned out be only 19K. So....even though you may wait a little longer using USGB (I got my offer just a little after the 48 hour window)....it was well worth it, and I'd used USGB again because of the higher payout.

Just fyi -- he did say that the price they use is for the day it's received -- not processed. I know there was some question about that.

Ok, so you just posted that you called...did they ask your name? Cause that is pretty cool that a short time later they got back to you...
My shipment was delivered yesterday AM...so I am not even at 48hrs yet... but I think that is really cool that you got an answer fast.
How much gold in oz did you send them?

Oh and I am also waiting on free dining but not for me, I have it already, I am doing a surprise trip for my parents to join us!
