Last thing would be to book a reservation or call into to get your Welcome Home visit and then enjoy your first stay! I know you were planning to wait a while for your first stay but my new points were burning a hole in my pocket, so my first stay is VDH for this summer.

I wonder if they do it for 150+? I've received 2 sets of the bottles but each time we bought 150+, my most recent one is also 200 and I submitted the final payment last week so we'll see if another one comes in?

I’ve received the gifts with less than 150. I have more bottles than I will ever need.

I'm currently in VDH and will say that I am pleasantly surprised. I like the rooms here and really the walk isn't bad at all. Obviously it's not to the level of VGC convenience which would still be my preference just because I like the theme and Napa is special to me but I will definitely be doing staycations on the weekends picking up random nights here or for random birthdays for the kids and have no problem using direct points here.

I currently have a few trips booked to VDH but won't be able to keep them all. We are trying to figure out what dates work out best for us. We have Garden Duo for 4th of July weekend, a 3 night Preferred view duo for mid-July, and a 3 night late August in a standard deluxe. The availability has been great for us so far at VDH, so at this point, I'm happy with our decision to buy Poly but I definitely see us wanting to add on at VDH as soon as we can.

This is correct. It's a fairly large print on canvas, framed. Limited edition of 250. Only for those who purchase 150+ points at VDH this incentive cycle.

Can someone please tell me which PVB and VDH incentives to ask for from my guide? Disney Visa, Anniversary, Castaway, D23, Passholder, etc.?

We currently own at PVB, VGF, SSR and VDH.

Disney Visa, Anniversary, D23, Magical Beginnings if you want to sell back the first UY. Also optional on title insurance. I think that's it? Unless you're cast/military.

It also never hurts to ask about any of the possible discounts. It seems like we continue to hear reports of guides only mentioning them when asked. So, if I were buying direct, I'd just go down the full list of possible discounts and ask.

Those are the ones I have. Just remember for planning, the Magical Beginnings comes after closing in the form of a check, so your cash to close will be $3,000 higher @ 150 points (or whatever $20 a point is at your number of points). When you get the documents, the Magical Beginnings will have its own form, but not be included in the cash to close amount.

Also, all incentives tend to appear as a lump sum, so just double check the numbers when you get your documents.

Besides the recent responses above, also remember that if you purchase 150 points at VDH that you may also get the limited time art. There are pictures within this thread of the canvas art. It's limited to 250 purchasers and I'm not sure where they are with their supply.

I feel bad inundating the group with questions when the answers are probably buried in the thread. I really tried to get the answer myself. Is there a search functionality that I don't know about?

Also, this new policy on not releasing a points chart really has my panties in a bunch!! Why does DVD make it hard to give them money?

Thank you for the info on VDH. I feel like we have the perfect amount of VDH points for our use case. We really want to add onto PVB to increase the size of our accommodations and we want them direct, so we can occasionally use them to add a weekday onto our VDH stays at the 7 month booking window.

Withholding the pricing charts feels like a lack of transparency. It's also a bit of a killjoy. Half the fun of the purchase is the strategizing. Seeing the discount on the next tier of points is what typically pushes me towards making a bigger contract purchase.

I agree about withholding the charts. It feels icky to me. Especially when not all guides seem to know what all incentives are available. If you are not attached to this guide emotionally I would highly recommend seeking out a new more knowledgeable guide. There are many recommendations here in the boards.

I will give our guide the benefit of the doubt and will assume he is still figuring out how this new "system" works? Overall, he's been great to work with.

However, I do know that this new process is making me consider reducing this direct purchase down to 150 and purchasing a 100 pt poly resale. I only need a few extra direct points to use at VDH.
