WOW - I just sold my old gold........

Thanks to the OP and everyone who participated in this thread.

I sent my package FedEx to Goldfellow per their instruction @ 3:30 p.m. Wed. afternoon. I received an e-mail today @ 12:30 p.m. that they received my items and were reviewing everything. I got the phone call and e-mail @ 6:30 p.m. (I was out with friends). Just checked the website and my payout is $608.57! That was with the 10% Dis board upgrade. I had 3 necklaces, 3 bracelets, 2 rings and 1 pair of earrings. Apparently, one of the items I sent was 18K (I thought everything was 14K). I am very pleased and accepted the offer. It could not have been easier!

I used Gold Fellow for my transaction. The process was easy, efficient and quick! I fedexed my package on Tues & got a call Thurs. with my offer!

I had mostly 14K & some silver that amounted to $693.34! Not bad for stuff that's been unworn, sitting in my jewelry box collecting dust for years...

We are going to Disney in 2 weeks, so I'm delighted to have this found money! :wizard:

Thanks to the OP and everyone for posting about this! I would never had thought to do this if I hadn't seen it on these boards.

:)

Ok so I went through my jewlery box and found a crap load of old gold rings and things I have some rings that have stones in them! some emeralds does USGB except stones too? or would I be better to send to goldfellow??

also does anyone think the price of gold will go back up or do you think its dropping so sell now??

Thanks for the info ...

One more question ... Did gold go down or is going down now ???

Thanks Again

I've been lurking here since the start....this is really legit?? I just have huge qualms about sending gold ( even tho I haven't/won't ever wear it ) in the mail to someone. What if I don't like their price? What if they say they don't get it? How about if I dont like their price, and they don't send it back to me? I know this has all been covered before, but.....it just seems too easy.

I have a ton of stuff, alot my grandmother gave me that was given to her. One necklace is about as thick as my pinky finger and 14k. Has anyone had a BAD encounter with them??

I had the same feelings as you. However, after reading about other's experiences, I decided to go with Goldfellow. I will post again after I receive the check from them (as others have done on this board).

The high for this month was over $1000/ounce on 3/14.
The low for this month was under $920/ounce on 3/20.

Yesterday it closed above $930/ounce (see previous post for exact amount).

How or where do you mention this? Is there someplace in the form like "How did you hear about us?" kind of thing? I'm so excited to have stumbled on this thread - I just got a bunch of old family jewelry (old stuff so very little of it is junk) and wanted to try to sell it!

On the form next to my name and address info, I just wrote that I was a DIS board member and gave my user name. The day I shipped my package, I also sent an e-mail that I sent my shipment and reminded them of my being a DIS board member. I received a kind response that they will apply the DIS upgrade to my account.

The other reason I went through Goldfellow is I had read on this thread that they will return any items that are not gold. I wasn't sure if one of my bracelets was gold or not and liked knowing that they would return it. I highly recommend them. The turnaround time was very fast, and they have excellent customer service.

That sounds really great! Thanks for all the info. I've bookmarked their site and am off to sort out what all I've got!

I accepted my offer with Goldfellow too. Janis called me last night and she was very nice - added in the DIS 10% - and Ive had several emails with her and she's very professional. I'd recommend them to anyone. They were very fast, rec'd my package friday morning the settlement was ready by 5:00 that night.

Do you mind telling us what you loot weighed??

I cannot remember exactly ... but I think he said it was 73 DWT.

Here is a picture of what I sent them. The school ring is 10k and the very thick ring off to the right is 18k. (Oh...can you see the 14k gold fingernail??? AHHH...the '80's)

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to the OP. I went with Goldfellows and I am just waiting on my $315 check from them. It was a quick and easy process. THANKS

Michele

So is there anyone who accepts the stones in the rings?

I dont think the 2 listed do. I had rings and charmed with stones I sent in but you only get credit for the gold.

ok, so I weighed all my junk jewelry and it came to about 225 oz. ( I used my kitchen scale!) I just go to either company's website from here? This just seems too darn easy....

Am I reading that right? Two Hundred and Twenty Five Ounces? If so that's a lot of money!
