WOW - I just sold my old gold........

After reading this thread I have decided to sell my old/broken gold as well. Wish me luck! I will let you know how it turns out!:woohoo::woohoo:

Good Luck!!! Just wish for a low amount so you will be even more excited if it turns out to be more. I had planned to be happy with $100.00 and over the moon with $300.00. I am beside myself with what I actually got. But you have to plan on being happy with whatever they offer. Just remind yourself that the old/broken gold wasn't doing you any good the way it was so if it pays for a Disney meal that even better. :goodvibes

Oh my goodness!!!! I knew I really only had some junk and one nice bracelet and one thin necklace so I was hoping for $100. The gentleman called me today and said it was worth $409!!!! I can't believe it. Thanks everyone for posting, cause I wouldn't have done it without you!

Oh Boy! I just received my call! $808.91!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay:

It was super fast and super easy! I sent the package from a FedEx store near Baltimore at 12:30 yesterday, checked on-line today---the package arrived in NY at 9:30 am and I received the call at 5:30 today.

I weighed my gold and it was a little over 2 oz (all of the rings had stones) so I am rather happy at their offer! I sent: 6 rings, 6 bracelets, 5 hairingbone necklaces, 4 fine chain necklaces, 1 lone earring, 1 charm holder and 4 charms.

Now I just have to round up all of the silver that is laying around the house----I even have some of that Franklin Mint silver stuff from the 1970s just gathering dust. Finding all the stuff to send is what takes the most time and effort. But it is really worth it!

According to the gentleman who called (I think his name was Steven) I should receive a check within 3-5 days:)

I just want to say "thank you" to the wonderful person who started this thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just want to add that I sent several items in to USGB and received a $300 check yesterday. !!! WOO-HOO, Can almost buy my AP for my October birthday trip, I will be looking out for more. Good luck to everyone.

Ok mine was picked up yesterday and was delivered this morning, does anyone know what the caller ID will say when they call to give their offer? Don't want to miss it.

My two calls said "U.S Gold Buyers".....wasn't hard to miss! LOL

I had a really great experience with them although I needed my offer to be a little bit more, I did/do understand why it came out lower than I thought it would.
It was me...I was aiming HIGH!

I only sent in half my stash and hope to send in more at some point. If gold prices dip I'll just hang onto the stuff.

I am pleased as punch with my offer of 161$. I was thinking like $75, so hot dog! I just had an old charm bracelet and some charms and a very thin gold chain.

Go to www.usgoldbuyers.com and I always have my information emailed to me with their account number, etc. They also have live chat on there so you can click on that and they will email it to you or tell you where the link is! I have never called them for the information:thumbsup2

I just visited their website..what the heck is the "dental" price quote???

USGB doesn't have an online request... you have to call them... their number is 877-977-GOLD.

Good luck! :)

Okay I have not read through this long thread but could someone post the steps on how to do this.

I did the online request but there is nothing about Fed Ex picking it up or any special bags either.

Thanks

sent mine off this morning - not sure if EVERYTHING was gold so sent in a few unsure pieces with the few rings, a few necklaces and a couple of bracelets.
lets see what they say
thanks for all the info
jennifer

Sending mine out today via fedex (thanks to all of you who've done it without experiencing any issues I finally felt comfortable enough to do it). I sent:

3 rings (2 are 14k, 1 is 10k)
1 charmholder (not sure what it is)
3 charms (1 is 14k, not sure about the other 2)
1 bracelet with nameplate (wasnt marked but I got it as a kid and the lady spent ALOT of money on it so I know its real...its that oddly colored italian gold with a really thick nameplate...always hated the thing because the nameplate was so heavy it would end up on the bottom of my write and all you could see up top was the ugly clasp)
1 thin chain with nameplate (14k)
1 rope chain (14k)
1 thicker herringbone chain (14k)
2 ball earrings (not sure what they are)
3 small hoop earrings (again, not sure what they are)

I'll let you all know on monday once they call...I'm hoping for at least $100 but would be super excited for $300 or more! (secretly I'm wishing for $500 but I'm a realist so I'm not going to hold my breath on that one!)

I was just wondering if any Canadian's have tried selling their gold?? I've googled and there are a couple of companies that work the same as the US companies.

Just wanted to make sure it was actually legit like the US company so I didn't get scamed. I could really use the money to help pay for disney and I've got a bunch of old gold jewerlly that I haven't worn in years.

If not, does anyone know if the US company will accept from Canada?
Thanks

Once I had a roommate who had her own small dental lab. She made caps, I think. Anyway, she used to buy gold through the mail. It came in small, thin sheets. Maybe that's what they're talking about.

$880. Check on it's way!!! If I hadn't read this board I would have never sent in that old junk, you ladies are the best!!!

Thanks to all the info here, I sent 7 bangle-type bracelets, 2 rope chains and 5 skinny chains via Fedex. Figured $300., got $557!! Yippee!! Check came in 2 days, was from TDBank, so I was able to cash easily.

UGH---- i miss the phone call yesterday - so now i have to wait until monday to see how much i am getting back
jennifer

Got the check in the mail today. :woohoo: Nothing like the comfort of having the check in hand. Off to the bank on Monday so it can get some interest until our big Disney trip next year. :cool1:
