Wow did you see Valerie Bertinelli on the commercial for Jenny Craig?

She's really plumped out too! She's advertising along with Kirstie Alley to lose weight.I'm feeling much better now.That girl used to have a 'bikini' figure.
She's still beautiful but has put on alot of weight.It's nice to see I'm not alone.
Now I'm waiting to see Maureen McCormick jump on board....

In the People magazine article Valerie won't say how much she weighs only that she is a size 14 and wants to lose 30 lbs by September and be a size 8. Seeing her on the commercial, I find it hard to beleive she is a size 14.

Seeing her on the commercial, I find it hard to beleive she is a size 14.

I was just talking about this commercial at lunch today. I figured she was about an 18-20. I don't know why the celebrity weight-loss pushers can't just be honest. We're really not a stupid audience and will certainly root for their weight loss success no matter what they weigh, I just feel they're frauds when they try to make it look like they're not as heavy as they are. Seventy+ percent of us are FAT, we know what it looks like, and most size 14 do not look like Ms. Bertinelli. BTW, I think she's still absolutely adorable.

I do not think she's fat. I think she looks great. Not as skinny as when she was a teenager but she is almost 47. I also didn't think Tyra was fat. Give me a break.

She said she's dealt with people telling her she's fat her whole life and when she looks back on those days on "One Day a a Time' she thinks she looked great.

If she wants to loose weight for health reasons, great but not because people are telling her she's fat.

Size 14 is not fat.

I can believe she is a size 14. She's only 5'2", so on that small of a frame, she is definately going to look (and be) a lot heavier than someone taller who wears a size 14.

I never buy People but I always loved her so I bought this issue. She has a great attitude. She's not trying to be a size 0, she just wants to get back to an 8, a size she feels appropriate for a woman approaching 50. And I must say she is still one gorgeous woman...I was always SO jealous of her gorgeous hair and cute face, and she's not lost either of those two assets! I wish her the best!

I was pretty sure she is in the 18-20 size range, too. I'm pretty sure her total weight loss will be much more significant than the 30lbs she's saying she'll lose. She's only 5'2". To get into a true size 8 (not a vanity 8), I would guess she needs to lose more in the range of 50lbs.

She's still lovely! I hope she feels great while she gets healthy and does well when she moves from the prepackaged food to the regular world.

I'm almost 5' 1", I was a 14 for about a year after I had DS. I think she looks heavier than I was.

Then again I may be kidding myself

Well if she's buying her clothes at Walmart,K Mart or JC Penney then she's definitely not a size 14.Their clothes run so small my size 6 friend has to go up to a size 10 or 12 at those stores.

Who knows? Maybe after she loses the weight she'll be considered for another series.I'd like to see her on another regular show again too.

Sorry but these kind of comments really get to me. Yea she's put on weight but plump , comeone! She's almost 50. if I look even half as good as her when I'm her age, I'll be doing cartwheels.

She's very beautiful, its nice to see her in the limelight again.

I didn't think she looked big at all. Everyone wheres their clothes differently and the fit is different on each person.

I have always really liked her, no matter the size , I hope the best for her.

Doing Lipo or Stomach Stapling or Gastric by pass, like MOST of the stars do. Kudos to her, and I am looking forward to seeing her minus 30 pounds. I, on the other hand, is a size 20, and yes 30 pounds would be nice for ME to lose!

I have seen her on the commercial, on the People cover, and on an ET interview. In all those appearances, her clothes make her look really big. I wonder if she isn't all THAT big, and is dressing to make herself to look bigger so she will look that much smaller when she loses the weight she wants to. Makes Jenny Craig look a whole lot better.
