WOW $100 round trip air fare for Dec!

I just booked RT airfare on Air Tran from Philadelphia to Orlando for $100 round trip for the second week in December!! What a deal!!! Wan't going to go, but with that price - gotta see the Mouse!

I can actually beat that! I'm flying from Huntsville to Orlando, non-stop for $72 round trip INCLUDING taxes and such. Independence Air is flying to Orlando from some smaller cities at GREAT rates!

Still, your rate is GREAT. I'm just busting on you a little.

Yes, but Huntsville Alabama is much closer to Orlando than Phillie PA, I'm pretty sure. I have watched these flights for months and was amazed at the low rate when you consider the price of fuel. Hope the thing flies well!

Wow! Great price. I would drive to Philadelphia to get tickets that cheap. I'm not finding it on the web, who did you book through? We are going Dec 16 - 19 and the cheapest I can find is $181 + taxes, etc. which is out of our budget. However, I'm dreading a 14 hour drive from Washington DC to Orlando!

I just went onto airtran.com and there are $49 flights from Phillie on those dates. Hope it works for you - I'd rather drive to Phillie from Baltimore than all the way to Orlando - done it many times - UGH, Myrtle Beach is far enough, but Orlando is a killer drive!

Airtran tip from bsusanmb may be your best bet cause I'm not sure how many are in your party, but someone else's tip about Independence Air is worth checking into. Their home airport is Washington Dulles and they've really discounted their fares. But I checked your dates and found $74 each way depending on what times you leave. It's more expensive than those Airtran fares, but if you're in DC it may be more convenient than Phillie.

Just a thought. I'm using Independence for our trip in Dec and got 2 adult round trips with taxes for $240. I was real excited.

Thanks for the tips. Our budget is very tight so we're trying to save every penny we can. We're doing this on the spur of the moment sort of to celebrate our DD 13th birthday. I'm not oppossed to driving but if we can fly for $100 a piece I'd much rather fly and have more time to play at Disney I'll check out airtran and keep watching the flights until it's time to go and maybe we'll get lucky!!

I booked our WDW trip same as you - spur of moment - need something to look forward to as we have had some profound sadness come our way - hold onto that DD of yours and don't let a moment of time pass you by that you don't tell her that you love her! Enjoy your trip no matter how you decide to get there.

We are planning a spur of the moment December trip and also live in DC. US Airways has nonstop flights from DC National for $96.70 roundtrip if you book today. Airtran from DC is I think $120. Hope that helps!

What a beautiful child! I am expecting my first grandchild (girl) in Jan. My trips to WDW will really have new meaning then. Not to mention that I will soon be a grandma to an adopted baby boy from Russia - twice the fun - I will really need to search for cheap flights then!

I found the flights, and if it matches your dates, GREAT deal - but have to buy it today. If you just check by price (check the price box) it will show you what dates are available. It says $78, but it is round trip, not one way.
