Would you recommend the contemporary Resort?

I will be at WDW next month staying at POP. However I love Disney so much that I am already thinking about where we will stay next! I like the looks of the contemporary resort from the outside but wonder if this is a pretty good place to stay. This will be my second trip and I have only stayed at value resorts (which I was very happy with). Thanks for the advice!!! :earboy2: :earsgirl:

29 More Days!!! YAY!!!

We love this resort. We've stayed at all the monorail resorts several times and we just keep coming back to the Contemporary. Some people love it and some don't,just like everything else.We love it because we stay in the towers (but we've stayed in the wings also)most of the time and having the monorail that comes inside the resort is easy for us to come back and forth to our room. You can walk to the MK if you want too and Chef Mickeys is a must for even adults. We've had MK veiw and Bay Lake and beleive me both are great.Sitting out on the bal.and watching the fireworks and the castle change colors is wonderful. There are several places to eat and they have alot of other things to do,like rent a boat, parasailing, etc. Also just a quick boat ride over to Ft.Wilderness to the Trail's End Buffet or Hoop-Dee-Doo.The Contemporary also has several shops and the whole resort is large but not too large. We use the monorail alot but to get to some parks you still need to ride a bus, but, they pick-up and return you to the same spot.It is also ususally the cheaper (if you can use that word for a monorail resort) of the 3 resorts.Don't get me wrong,we'd stay anywhere on Disney property, but for us the Contemporary works the best.So much that we've got 2 tower rooms booked for Sept.I'll agree that sometimes the colors and decor. takes some getting use too, but, after you're there for 1 day,you do not notice it.Also they have the best layed out bathrooms and large rooms and bal.Try it,thats the only way you'll find out if you like it.Have fun. :cool1:

I have stayed twice. Once in a junior suite in a wing room and once in a standard room in the tower.

I would have to say I preferred being in the tower over the huge junior suite. I like the "excitement" of being in the middle of the action!

I would choose the CR tower if we were mainly doing the MK. If it were more of a "get away" relaxing vibe I was looking for I would pick the Poly.

Did I make sense? :confused3 Hope that helps! You just can't beat the concourse of the CR!

We stayed in a Contemporary North Wing Room and loved it. We were on the ground level and had a patio that walked out onto a grassy area. Our room was huge and a short walk to the tower and food court/arcade. I would definitely recommend the CR.

Adorable is right! I know this is off topic but your little baby is so cute!!! I am not planning on any of my own for a while but she is so sweet! Also I'm new on these boards and am not sure about something. Why do you refer to her as "DD" Paige? I know it is something daughter but can't figure it out. I feel silly for asking but I don't know! Thanks! :)

We've stayed at most of the WDW resorts. In my opinion, you can't go wrong staying on property. Each resort is so unique and worth trying, if only just once.

blue eyes: The best thing you can do is to go over to the Contemporary and ask one of the front desk CMs to show you around the resort and to show you one of the rooms. While it's not exactly like staying there, you will definitely get a feel for the resort so you can decide if you think you'd be happy staying there. Chef Mickey's is always a lot of fun, so if you're planning a meal at the Contemporary, you'll be right there anyway. :) You can check out the pools, food court, arcade, and restaurants. Have a great trip :sunny:
