Would you rather visit in October or May?

I'm looking ahead to our 2011 trip. Sadly there will be no 2010 trip for us. :sad2: If you had to decide between these two months, which would you choose and why? I have different reasons for each and am about tied in my head, I can't make a decision. I'd love any help. :goodvibes

May has The flower and garden festival at Epcot, as well as the Starwars weekend....

October has the Halloween party and the food and wine festival.....

You may want to look at crowd calenders if that is an issue?

I've only been in January....and this year we will be going the first wk in May....I'm very excited, we will be able to use the pool and the weather should be nice....fingers crossed!

We are going the second week in May so I'll be looking forward to answers that you get!

Been both. Liked both. Crowds are very similar except until a few days before Memorial Day. It seems to be more humid in October but it's hard to tell since the weather has been so weird this year.

Both!!! We go when the kids get out of school and then when they have their Fall break in mid-October. May does seem a little less humid, but the crowds are about the same. The Northern schools are not out yet, but you get lots of Southerners in May trying to get a trip in before it gets too hot. October break time for us is a traditional break time in the South, so you get lots of Southerners during this time too. Both times allow you to visit the waterparks and not freeze. Love the Halloween festivities in October, but the Flower festival decorations are not to be missed. Clear as mud yet? We also go in February and November and this year we have added April, so we obviously aren't particular. Enjoy your decision and your trip.

If you've never been in October before, go then. Especially if you want to go to the halloween party -- so fun!!! The weather is great then and crowds aren't too bad. Food & Wine is also during October and is lots of fun ~ you won't be disappointed. We've been to Disney in both May and October but I love the fall and the events during that time, so that's my vote (for whatever it's worth) :rotfl2: HTH!!!

Thanks everyone!! I'm thinking October because the school calendar seems to be more open. Lots of testing in May around here I guess.
