Would you pay more for less crowds?

As a single mother of three, on a very tight budget, I was considering this when planning my trip to Disney...wouldn't it be great if they could limit the amount of people in each park each day so that all could completely enjoy their experience without waits or fast passes... you'd have to reserve your place in each park...this kind of perk would have me paying double...is it working for Sea World's Discovery Cove? Would it be worth it for anyone else? I, for one, would gladly pay for a less stressful trip...

absolutely. Since it's the only vacation we take each year. I would pay pretty much whatever they wanted for daily crowd cap. This is why I enjoy the P&P Party and Mickey's Christmas parties. The parks are generally not as crowded during those times.

That's what you get at MK when you go to any of the parties. Even a sold out party will have less people there than a typical day.

How about "Mickey's Very Nerdy Science Fair" where you can dress up in lab coats and bring your favorite experiment.

Disney DOES limit the # of people that are allowed to be in the parks--that limit is just higher than most of us like.

As it is, they have the special events (MNSSHP, MVMCP, PPP) that you can pay extra for and enjoy the benefits of lower crowds you mentioned and then some extras on top of that.

They used to have e-ride nights were a limited number of resort guests could buy wristbands and stay in MK for a few hours after it closed on certain nights. (I LOVED e-ride nights.) But they did away w/ that and do Extra Magic Hours now instead.

3. Do one of those parties with the kids- the place is practically empty compared to a regular day.

People get upset if they can't get an ADR at their favorite restaurant. I can only imagine how upset they'd be if they couldn't get a reservation to get into their favorite park!

Personally, I like things they way they are. I like the freedom to come and go as I please. Reservations would ruin it for me.

This is what we do. You wouldn't catch me in Disney during the summer or holidays/spring break. Give me low crowds with walk-on rides and I'm a happy mom!

Yes. I pay $9-$18 for TGM, helping me select the best (least crowded) park/s to visit on which days. A small price for comfort.

Does anyone remember E-Ticket Night? This was the pre-lude for EMH. For $10 per person...a Disney resort guests could stay in MK for an extra 3 hours.

It was not heavily advertised back then but my DS and DH took advantage of this...only the major rides were open in the MK...The Mountains...most of Tomorrow Land was open...etc.

We had NO wait on all...we were sent through Splash Mountain twice without even getting out of the ride!

At one point, we stopped for icecream on Main St USA....we looked around and we were the only people on Main Street USA....it was like having the park all to ourselves. It is one of our favorite memories of Disney....ever.

I would go back to paying for E-ticket night....for sure!
