Oh I get to sit in your lap to get that same view. I know those are your feet they are all dirty eww.

hahaha wow. its amazing how quickly we get off topic in here. I wouldn't let a complete stranger into my room but someone I only knew from the boards sure.

I'm a very noisy sleeper. There are noises coming out of everywhere noises can come out of. I have at least two pee breaks a night and it's a strange place so I might walk into a wall or door if there's no night light. Even if there is I still could walk into something.
If you hear groaning it's not a ghost or a bear it's just me trying to turn over in bed. I have post nasal drip so in the morning don't be afraid of the hawking and spitting it only lasts a few minutes. Unless it's real bad then it's like having James Brown in your bathroom. Heeeeyaaaah.

Anyone wanna rent a bed? ;)

1. I sleep with the bathroom light on so you'll have no issues banging into walls, etc when you get up for your pee breaks.

2. If I'm asleep, I don't care what kind of "nightly noises" you make. Let's face it, everyone farts in their sleep, you just don't know it.

3. No problems with you turning over in the bed and sounding like a bear or a ghost - I somehow manage to pick myself up and flip myself over thereby making my sheets and blankets into a sausage wrapping so no noise you could make would be stranger than what I do.

4. I used to have a post nasal drip back when I was a teenager - I remember how awful it was. No judgements, just please close the bathroom door.

I think I'd be okay sharing a room with someone at WDW - I probably wouldn't do it many places but that is one place I would.

Especially if:

a) You want to stay at a deluxe resort! :thumbsup2

b) we get separate charging priviledges on our cards. :thumbsup2

c) you let me sleep when I want to and don't judge when I choose to order room service and stay in the room when it's 100 degrees outside with 98% humidity. :thumbsup2

I forgot about this thread. :rotfl2: You guys are way too funny.

I have a husband, so I am used to all sorts of grunting, snoring, hawking, farting, etc. None of that would bother me. :rotfl:

I guess it just seems like a waste, in a way. There is plenty of room in most hotel rooms for 2 or even more people (though you'd have to share a bed and that might get weird.) The savings could be amazing, lol. At what cost, though ... I don't know. :confused3:rotfl:

I've travelled to Disney, and other places, with a lot of different people. Someone says let's go, I'm in the car. So at Disney, we never put charging privileges on the room key; just not a good way to end a friendship. I have been told repeatedly that I take nightly noises to a whole new level.:rolleyes1
I also am the early riser. With that, people repeat travel with me. I'm a big guy and have no fear of people, and would jump at the chance to do that. I can't afford to go solo, but that could sell me. I'd be more comfy with a guy, but have shared rooms with platonic female friends. I athink staying with anyone you haven't stayed with before has the same potential as an internet friend. Not suggesting anyone should, but I'd be up for it in some cases.

Hello there, again. . .nice to see you.

As I have said before. . .I have shared my hotel room with people I have met here on the boards (I didn't know them before they shared my room. . .I just knew them from talking here). Both times I did it was guys. I was not afraid with either one. I am still friends to this day with both gentlemen. And yes, they both were gentlemen. One is engaged to be married and the other has been with his girlfriend for more than 2 years. I love them both to death and am very glad to have them as friends. If I had not shared my room with these guys, I may have never met them and made the lifelong friends I have today. I am glad I did.

I would absolutely not rent out a 2nd bed. The only people allowed in my room are close friends, significant others, and family. My room is my private domain, a place for me to come back and do whatever I want (walk around in my birthday suit if I so desire).. after a long day in the park, the last thing I want to do is come back and fight over bed time and what we're gonna watch on the tv... NO THANK YOU!

Wow, didn't have that problem either time. . .in fact the first time we got a visit from security because apparently POP walls are way too thin and the neighbors could hear us talking. . .whatever.

That's fine.. even if you didn't have the problem though, the possibility of having the problem certainly exists.. not something I want to worry about heading to Disney which has almost always been a magical week amongst 51 other painful ones.. lol

I understand your feelings Don, and I certainly didn't plan my trips needing a roomie. I was perfectly happy being solo. It just seemed to work out with the friends that I was meeting up with. The first time was the "security" issue. . .it was 2 in the morning and we were laughing and having a great time just talking. Security was expecting a party. . .they were kinda shocked when they showed up and it was just us and we were just talking. The 2nd roomie was a morning person (I am a morning person) and we made rope drop every day without even trying. It was awesome. We had the same touring style. It was a gamble but it worked out.
