Just wondering how many of us wouldn't mind VMK releasing EVERYTHING for sale, from inferno, to green flips, ariel chests and stitch... for month.

That would drasticly reduce the value of said items, making multi window trades a thing of the past, allows everyone to use and play with everything (for a price though...)

So My Question is...

IF VMK did that.... Would you still play?

Yes I would play, No I would not play?

If you had asked this question as recently as 10 days ago, I would have probably said I would hate it if VMK did that (despite me not having anything "super-rare"), but after all the scamming that's been going on recently, I'd now have to say that I'd be glad, and even grateful, if VMK would put everything for sale.

The main reason I play VMK is to collect items, so I guess being able to buy them would take away the fun slightly, but there's still plenty more to do on the game.

Of course... the only reason I play is because I met fun, new friends.. Who cares what I have .. :\

I think it would be wonderful if they did that. None of it is real anyway, so the value is all fake to begin with. I think it would be wonderful if they gave EVERYONE a shot at things, even if just for a limited time.

I would LOVE it if that happened. I would still play because of the new friends, i don't play because of the rare!

I completely agree. I don't go on VMK because I have rare things, I go because I can talk to my friends and experience Disney magic! :)

I voted no.

I know its not a popular opinion at the moment but its what makes the game fun for me.

I got my stuff by trading things, not buy running away after a couple of windows. It can be done despite the recent events.

I would still play, but for me it would take away the any reason to want it. I know I sound greedy, but if inferno and everything else had always been easy to get, nobody would want them. I wouldn't be surprised if many people would have rejected the stitch hat as horribly ugly if it wasn't rare. I can't really think of any way to sum this up, so I hope you got my point.

I'm voting no, although I would still play. No to the idea of releasing everything.

I would still play..

It's a good idea after all of the things that have been happening lately

i would like for VMK to release the stuff.

But not for huge prices. Nobody ever has the credits anymore. Or at least give warnings about when the the stuff will be coming out so we have time to make credits.

Perhaps they should release the Nemo Middle Pieces along with Inferno. :rotfl2:

But seriously folks, I wouldn't have a problem with this. Yes, I traded a lot for Sparrow. Would I care if it went on sale?

Absolutely not. I've always said that, despite my abhorring of socialism, they should release everything for a day. Give people the chance to get what they REALLY want.

I really want Stitch. I never really understood the craze until I went back to DLR in April (those that know me remember I also went in March). I got Stitch everything... he was that cool surfing dude that matches so radically with the Hawaii/California atmosphere. I even got a Stitch Hat that I wore around the park.

Imagine me... wearing blue jeans, a bright blue UCSB t-shirt, and the Stitch hat. Little kids came up to me asking if I was Stitch. It made me very, very happy. I still have a tear in my eye remembering the little kids who were waiting in line, whose faces instantly lit up upon seeing me. I gave them a very goofy Stitch smile, but I am reminded that THIS is part of the Disney Magic.

If we could, just for one day, grant this wish to players in VMK, I'm all for it. 100%.

I love my two rare items ..my gold and black mickey ears (given to me by Dis-friends)
but it is annoying to always have someone ask if I'm trading them.
"Sorry, no" has become part of my permanent vocabulary. I think that mickey ears
should be for sale permanently they are part of the traditional park experience,
and anyone wanting them should have them. :earsboy: :earsgirl:

I wish vmk would release all the rare ever put out. Maybe for once vmk would be equal for all.

I don't know about making it outside the park, but I do wish there was another way to get the black ears aside from making a new character in park. Since the REAL ear hats are park exclusive items, it makes sense the virtual ears would be the same...but I just wish they made a different way to get them (i.e. quest for them, or a code given out with a purchase...like the gold ears). But honestly it wouldn't bother me if they were for sale all the time in a VMK shop.

As for people asking about trades, I have the same phrase well spoken in the game. :rotfl: I mostly just ignore the constant questions now, and then they go walk up to someone else. :rotfl:

I voted that I would still play as I do not trade much. Like everyone else I would love to have inferno, but I can live without it and still enjoy VMK.

I understand why some items would not for sale in the game, such as the in park quest or items given with a purchase at the parks. This is a free game and they need to promote visiting the parks. But how about if other items were released after say 6 months. This way the people who really want the item right away would still be able to trade for it and enjoy the trading part of the game. But the people who want to wait for the items to come out can still get to buy and enjoy the items. By releasing things they may actually get some people to play more to build up credits.

Example, if inferno came out for sale at a premium price and I did not have the credits to buy it, I know I would be playing alot more in order to build up my credits.

Well since I don't have any of those rare items, I would love for those items to be released again. I haven't even thought of trying to trade for most of them because I don't think I'd ever have anything of value that I could trade for them so I'm obviously not playing the game for that reason so I'd definitely continue playing. The other thing is there are a lot of younger players who have an even more difficult acquiring items and it doesn't feel good to tell my daughter that she can't have an item because it's too rare and I have nothing I could possibly trade for it.

I Would Love If They Did This i just love to make rooms, so for me i would make a room with evey color of things they have red, blue, green, purple, ect....

I agree. Although, I've always believed that all items should be available. Even if for only a limited time and maybe at high prices.

Although putting more of an item in vmk doesn't necessarily mean the value will go way down. Point in case: Inferno. There are loads more infernos in the game than there are sparrow, stitch, specific beta pieces, etc. But, the value is so high that have not obtained it cannot. Once you get Inferno, you can trade it away for much more than you gave for it and trade for another. Coming away with a healthy profit. Which, in the long run means that you can get all other items in vmk eventually. There are also quite a few people with more than 1 inferno or with multiple star infernos.

If they put everything uber rare available for just a limited time, maybe I could eventually start just hanging out instead of spending all my time playing games and doing quests. :goodvibes

Of course I would still play, it would make me happy as a calm to have everything. Wouldn't it make you happy to have everything?
I don't play to have rare pixels. I play to be around friends.
