Here is the update - or fiasco-
BeastMan (I like that) called me Tuesday and told me they were going to Naples - which angered me b/c my brother was not invited and lives in Ft. Myers which is really close - he did not give me any info other than the destinataion only that his secretary would give me the info through email later in the week and he tried to get off the phone- I asked if he needed my email (hello) and gave it to him- ok last night he gives me the flt info b/c the secretary was supposed to email it to me but I did not get it- they stayed at my fiance's house (well 3) which is an hr away from STL airport- they claimed to have set an alarm and they would wake him up at 5 (I thought my DF was stupid not to have set his own alarm, but he did not) they were supposed to get up at 5am - my Fiance wakes up at 6am - they jumped up and are an hour late- they are an hour away - their flt leaves at 8:20 they have time BUT the catch is that the other friend wants to drop his car off about 20 min out of the way - so for some stupid reason they let him and they missed the flt - the other 2 friends were on the flt so he is stuck there w/ his friend who had the alarm set and just went back to sleep b/c no one else was up and his brother now they are flying from STL to Dallas abnd then back to Ft. Myers- UGH what a mess and his 2 other groomsmen are on the beach I bet.

If nothing else it totally illustrated to him how much he needs me in his life as I am the most organized on time person in the world and this never would have worried about this with me- so he completely recognizes why he needs me, not that he did not before- OH MY GOSH what a day - American Airlines Stinks they were not helpful at all- anyway - I will keep you updated- His brother was crying and so upset that this happened and so I think maybe he has learned not to keep secrets and to be so jerky!!!! At least I hope so!

Sorry if I seem dense--I'm just not sure I understand. So no party at all? Or just a very abbreviated, stressed out one. Serves your FBIL right for trying to be Mr. Big Man.

WRT the major domo--when he tricks your FBIL he will probably faint. His track record is not so hot...

They just got to Ft Myers just now at 9:00pm - they were supposed to be there at 11 am - so it was crazy and they will be coming home Monday- yes he cried - which for some reason I felt bad - I am not sure why because when I was crying b/c he would not tell me where they were going he did not seem to care. Now they have an hr drive to Naples...I am not sure why he chose FL since we will be there in a month - UGH- I am kind of mean too-

- I will say again American Airlines was NOt Accomodating- when I said they missed the flt they were there 30 min before take off and they would not let them check their luggage- or get on the plane- what actaually happened was that they oversold the plane and they gave away their seats- there was another girl behind them who was on the same flt and headed down for a wedding and they told her to come back tomorrow and they were incredibly rude- she called customer service and found that information out-

I, too, have had a bad experience with American Airlines. IMO they stink, big time. I have been back and forth to Hawaii lots of times, and the only problems I ever had was with American. They are NON CUSTOMER SERVICE--all the way. MY BFF got so mad at them I thought she was going to get us thrown in jail! Saying, "maybe the terrorists weren't really terrorsits--maybe they were just passengers that got sick of your crap!!"

I just got out my cell phone to start calling around for someone to bail us out. She's crazy. I love her.

No, probably you felt bad because you are a compassionate person. But he is still a jerk, and I *hate* it when jerks cry. Just makes me want to slap 'em.

When I was in undergrad I went to college in DC and I flew home ALOT I always flew TWA - except I graduate in Dec - they did not do a ceremony in Dec and the ceremony in May is always in the Whote House Ellipse so it was something coll and I wanted to be a part of that - how many universities do that - so we got a deal on American HUGE Mistake our flt was delayed and then we were trying to get into Chicago there was a monstrous storm (which was not their Fault) but we circled for over an hour before they decided where we were going - we had a connceting in STL they sent us to Cincinatti by the time we landed it was midnight and then they made us sit in the airport for 2 hrs while decdidng what to do with us and then they decided to send us to this crummy hotel in Covington,Ky so the I called TWA and expalined that we always flew on their airline and that I had made hige mistake we had been cancelled and could they help us - they took Americans ticket and took us to STL- too bad American bought them ugh... I hate them I would much rather fly southwest - no frills but at least you know that up front-

Sorry about the American Air rant- btw he is safe in his hotel and the other guys are giving his brother a really hard time about all of this!
