Would we be late?

We have a 10:20am ressie on O'hanas on our depature day, and ME leaves at 1pm. We are staying at CSR and will take a taxi back from the restaurant to CSR.

Assuming:
- we are granted a late check-out (1pm)
- have everything packed and ready before we leave for our breakfast
- leave our checked bags with ME
- take a taxi back from the O'hanas to CSR

1) Would we be seated by 11am at the latest? (Hopefully no later than 10:45am with 10:20 ressies). I keep hearing how seating is late, late, late at O'hanas.

2) If we left at 12pm by taxi - would we make it back to CSR before 12:30pm? Having not been there before, I'm not sure how long of a drive it is. Need time to collect our carry-on bags / last of our stuff from our room and get to ME.

I may be wrong, but I think late checkouts are rare. I would just pack it all up and leave it all with Bell Services before going to 'Ohana. You should be seated before 11 and it usually takes about an hour to eat. You should allow 1/2 hour to get back to CSR but with a taxi, it will probably be quicker.

I think you will make it to ME in time. It won't be relaxing, and you'll be watching the clock, but I think you'll be OK.

When you get back to CSR, just collect your things from Bell Services and hop on the bus!

Personally I would not do it. Yes, you would probably make it timewise, but personallly I would be so worried the entire meal about missing ME that there is no way I would enjoy the meal.

It would take less time as long as you had the taxi there when you came down to leave

Are you doing resort flight check in? If you are you will leave your bags there except carry ons and those I agree with PP leave with bell services to ensure a quick departure. I think you will be just fine with no problems making back by 1pm. I try and always make the Ohana breakfast the day we leave too, it is a fun way to end the trip.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have decided to cancel this reservation!

I just came across a thread on the Budget Board about La Nouba tickets for category 2 dropped to $53. I really wanted to do this originally but passed due to the price. This saved us $111 on tickets!

I just spent $213 on these tickets, so now I'm not going to spend $95 plus tip OOP at O'hanas.

I think we will all be happier overall this way. Everyone will love La Nouba (we have never seen it), and the kids will love being able to spend the morning relaxing and swimming at CSR before our ME ride.

This is the second time I have had to cancel a breakfast at O'hanas. I guess it just isn't meant to be!

By the way, my reservation was for Sept 23rd at 10:20am for 4 people. If anyone wants it - PM me and we can arrange a time tomorrow or Saturday for you to try and snag it.
