Would this work?

I can start making my ADRs on Monday. I have a couple that are top priorities for me and that I think will be difficult to get. Is it possible for my husband and I to both be logged into my Disney Experience account and trying to make different reservations at the same time? Or will that totally screw something up? I know Disney's site is not the best so I don't want to mess my account up and not get any of the ADRs. Is there a better strategy so I can have my husband helping as well?

No you won't be able to login to the same account. Your husband should create his own account and invite you to share plans. That way you will both have separate accounts but share reservations. HTH.

Oh, ok thanks! So he can have his own account and have reservations under that account but I would be able to see them from my Disney Experience account as well?

Yes, that's what we did and it worked great. Also, I was able to use both the desktop site along with the MDE app on my phone at the same time and had no issues.

The drawback to him making a separate account is that he "owns" the reservations he made, I see them in my MDE but just show up as a dining guest. When I tweaked our touring plan and needed to change an ADR, the new one conflicted with a reservation he controlled though. It wouldn't let me make the new ADR because it overlapped with his and wouldn't let me cancel his.

Yes, once he creates the account, he can go into to Friends and Family to add you using your email address. He can select that you share all plans. When you accept the invitation, you will be able to view each other's plans. Only the owner can modify or cancel though.

I would set it up in advance to link resort reservations if you are staying on site so you can take advantage of 180+10.

BTW, I have heard of people logging into the same account, one on the desktop and one on the MDE mobile app, with limited success. Personally I wouldn't try it. Good luck!

Interesting, we never had the conflict message come up when reservations were under separate but linked accounts. We have used separate accounts specifically when travel groups decide to split up so we don't have an issue with 2 reservations within an hour or 2 of each other.

Also, just an FYI, once accounts are linked, all Magic Bands (from previous trips for example) become "clones" of each other.

I wonder if it would work if you opened multiple tabs.

That way you could start on the next one while the first one was processing.

Was is because your group split up maybe?
When I tried it I was trying to make a new 8am Akershus for all 4 of us and I got the conflict message regarding the 830 Garden Grill he controlled for all 4 of us.

When I used the laptop and the phone I searched for and started the process for CRT first - once I got the time I wanted and had moved to the guest selection page I switched to the phone and started the process for BOG. I stopped at the same guest selection point as I did for CRT and went back to the laptop. Confirmed CRT then confirmed BOG.
Considering I got an 8am CRT and a 6pm BOG on dayS 3&4 of our trip, and had both done by 6:05 I think it worked great!

No, I don't think so since local family joined us and the numbers on the split reservations totaled more than resort guests. When I make my reservations, I never select anyone besides myself to save time (unless it is a pre-paid reservation). I keep pressing next until the terms and conditions box is flagged, check that and I'm done.

With the reservation system, who knows! Thanks for the info.

Thanks for all the tips. I've created him an account and linked it to mine and also linked our kids to his as well but I still control those. I can see our resort reservations on his so I'm assuming his account will still recognize the 180+10? I'm going to play around with it a little so I can work out any nuances... Anything else I'm missing?

Also, for some reason my husbands account didn't recognize the +10 for maybe the first 5 minutes or so after 6. It was super glitchy for him, not sure if it was the site or his crappy archaic laptop lol, as it was smooth sailing for me. He had to close the window and log back in a couple of times before the +10 opened up.

Yes, you can see all of them. You won't be able to change the ones made on HIS MDE, you would have to log into his and change them, but you can see them all.

I always make sure I am logged out of the site, close my browser, clear my cache before 6am, then at 6am I go to site and login. If you login in before, the +10 won't be recognized and it will be glitchy (not that it isn't otherwise). And yes, I really do that, LOL!

One thing I forgot is that if you are planning on logging into both accounts from one device, make sure you use 2 different browsers. When using 2 tabs on Chrome for example, both pages switched to one account thanks to the cookies.

Good call. I'll have him use either his phone or a different computer. Thanks!

Interesting. I was able to log in to my account on my phone and my laptop to make fast pass. My husband looked for Thursday while I looked for Sunday... HAD to get that Ana and Elsa for little princess. Anyway, it worked.

Did he assign names to the guests? If so that's the issue. If you don't assign names then the system doesn't know whom DH is eating with, so you could have made the reservation. If assigned names the system sees it as you eating at reservation 1 and won't let you make reservation 2 that conflicts.

Yes I think he did, good call! Thank you

Ok, this might be in conflict with other posters near the top. But I can definitely confirm that you CAN use the same account of multiple computers to book ADRs. I had 4 computers running at the same time logging onto the website using the same account booking ADRs at 6am. So you don't need to create multiple accounts to do it.

My sister and I were booking at 6am, we split the priorities, and all my ADRs went through and it did not mess up my account, so you don't need to worry about that.

It'll save you having to link accounts.
