I've never seen orange or pink with Christmas lights, yellow and purple...maybe...

if you find a store with a good selection you can get all green or all red or strings that are red & green

Actually, that's what we do. We put all white on the house, and alternate red and green strands on the bushes and trees.

These are the lights that I was talking about with the pink and orange...it is just a typical strand of mini-lights found at homedepot.com:

I don't think I've seen any with purple, though. Maybe different types are sold in different parts of the country.

I just wish they would make strands with just red, white, and green together. I haven't seen that yet!

Here's my view on it - I'm the one that puts up the lights around here, and frankly it's never occured to me to ask what anyone else would prefer. I guess I've always just figured that if I'm putting them up, then I get to do what I want.
