Can someone point me in the right direction for where to get the pages and what size to print them at. I will be taking them to the local print shop to have them bound in spiral.
Thanks

Pat (look under the thread "Pat's Disney Desgins") has a lot of autograph page stuff, some customizable (for the first page) and others to print out for the individual pages. Here's a link to that exact page in her Photobucket website: http://www.patsdesigns.com/Autographs.htm. I find 6" x 6" to be a good size (or 8" x 8",) but I'm also a scrapbooker and it's easy to find albums in those sizes. That's why I chose those sizes. The 6 x 6 is not cumbersome to carry around. I know others also have great autograph stuff, but I am more familiar with Pat's gorgeous designs. All the designers are VERY friendly and totally helpful:thumbsup2

Ok, I 'm a scrapper too, but 12X12 or 8.5X11, where do you find 6X6 albums and do you just print off these pages and bind them into the album?, I don't want to have to deal with page protecters in the albums kwim?
Thanks for the help!:thumbsup2

Here are samples of our autograph books. The kids loved them and got a lot of attention from the characters and CMs when they saw they were personalized. With 5 kids it was a little stressful for me to get the right pages open but, since I had them in alphabetical order it made it easy for the CMs to help when there was more then one character to meet!
I used 4x6 card stock, printed clip art onto them. I set up the pages in Microsoft Works with headers and footers so it was easier to customize for each child. It will also allow us to change the dates for our next visit! I can just remove the characters we already have and print out the new ones.

The 4x6 size made it easy for all ofthe kids to carry and control their own autograph book. All of them had either backpacks or waist packs.

The covers were made as part of the book then I let them pick out stickers we got at Michaels. We saved the peices of cardboard that came with the card stock and used them as part of the book cover (make it stiffer). After the decorations were added we modge podged them to seal them from damage.

When they were all done and in order we punched holes at the top and used the rings to hold the book together. An 18 inch piece of ribbon held the large sharpie to the books so we wouldnt loose them!

I have not printed our my autograph books but i have been working very hard on them. I too was concerned about what size to make pages and here is what i decided to do. i took some pre made pages from one of the DISigners websites and saved them to my computer. I then resized them to 5"X8" so i could fit 2 on a word doc page. I will print them and cut the pages then have them bound at an office supply place.
I have these all saved if you want me to email em to you.

I saw a great idea somewhere and ran with it. My DS is only 2 so I wasn't even sure he would go up to the characters, much less cary a book around without destroying it so I bought a wide picture mat for all the characters to sign. I then put a large embrordered scrapbook sticker at the top that says "DISNEY" with little mouse ears. If he doesn't want to go up to them, I will have them sign it and it will make a great presentation for our pictures !! :wizard:

I wish I could remember how my DH told me to post my pics but I can't and he is not here right now!!

So I will tell you what I did instead and maybe it will help spur your creative juices:goodvibes

I downloaded a ton of clip art from Disney clip art sites and lots and lots of "dividers" or "lines" or "bars" as well. I got many, many gorgeous DISigns from this board and put them all in a clip art file.

Then I opened a Word page and under "page set up" made the page 5x7 in "landscape" instead of portrait format. Then I dragged the pictures I wanted onto the page and played around with the figures until I got it the way I wanted. I made sure to leave room on the left hand side for the binding after we get home.

Then I saved them in an "autograph book" file. When I finished, I pulled them up and printed them adjusting my printer to do 5x7 pages. I bought premade 5x7 paper in the card section of AC Moore so I did not have to cut anything.

Now, most of my pages are printed and I have put them in an accordion file that has the sections marked alphabetically. When I get to the park, I simply pull out the page for the character I want and when signed, put it in the back of the file. At night, I will take out the days signed pages and keep them safe in the room.

When we get home, I will scan all the pages into my computer so I can use them in my scrapbooking as well. Next, I will print off the coordinating pictures (and using 5x7 sticky peel off photo paper) will attach the photo so it is on the left and the autograph page is on the right. Basically, the photo will be on the back side of the autograph page that comes before it. Then I will have the pages bound at an office supply store.

It sounds complicated and I guess it is, a little. But I have had a great time making the pages and these books will be unique. I take my laptop with me everywhere and work on the pages while waiting for the kids at school, at theater class and gym class. It gives me something to do and I am crafty anyway.

Best of luck and I will post a bunch of my pictures when I am done (and DH is around to help!!):thumbsup2

Could you please e-mail the file to me also? I am making them for our upcoming christmas trip to WDW. Thanks.
