Would anyone want to hear about the trouble I had checking into the Contemporary?

The same thing happened to me at the Poly this year. My DW and I checked in with no problems, the when my DW went to the Guest Services desk to tranfer our park tickets onto our new room keys the CM who had checked us in very quietly asked me if I wanted to pay my balance on the same credit card I had left for charging, As if she didn't think I wanted the DW to hear! She told me I had a balance of $1300 something dollars, which was the total for our stay, again like the OP not even showing a deposit. I produced my receipts and conformations and the money suddenly showed up on the computer, paid in full, weird.

From reading these other stories what I don't get is how do they think people even were able to make a reservation without so much as a minimal deposit? Am I missing something here? Usually it's, "You want reservation?...then, SHOW ME THE MONEY!"

In the other cases it would have been interesting to have asked, (To the manager) "Excuse me, but you've really got me curious now. How do YOU believe I was able to make this reservation with no money down?" And then just keep quiet and listen to them.

Maybe I am in the dark here. Can you make a reservation without any payment all the way up to the day you show up and still have the reservation at a Disney hotel let alone a deluxe one???

No, you are on the same page as I am!! I did, in fact, ask how they thought I'd made the reservation if I hadn't made even one deposit, and got the blank stare (looking at my receipts like, as the other poster so cleverly put it, it was hieroglyphics!!! ). Shortly after they found my first deposit!!!
