Our family of 4 will be taking a budget trip overseas for the month of August. Our family consist of myself, DH, DS 13 and DD 10. We will arrive in Amsterdam, catch a flight to Stansted airport north of London, where we will visit the 100yr of Scout Jamboree. From there we will be heading to Ireland then back to England (Bristol, London, Canterbury) before finally crossing into France on about the 14th of August, we will spend 4 or 5 days in France then onto Germany and the Netherlands.
We will be backpacking it and mooching off friends and relatives for meals and places to stay for England, Germany and the Netherlands but we are on our own for Ireland and France (over the years these same friends and relatives have stayed with us on their trips to Canada, we are now repaying them by visiting them LOL). All 4 of us are Disney fanatics, usually taking 2 trips a year to Disney World, with stays being from 10 to 17 days. However we are also use to being on a small budget, taking advantage of any special offers, stay at the value hotels, and almost never buying souviners. We really want to see DLP but we need to know the cheapest way to do it, while still staying at a Disney hotel. Also it would help if we knew what attractions to see that are different for Disney World. I think at best we will have 2 days in the parks so it will be important to see the highlites.
I am home with the flu so I thought it would be a good time to make plans but either my head is too muddled or these websites are too confusing because I just can't figure out which hotel is best (cheapest)
