I'm so glad we left MA for NC. I hated those MA winters.

My DH had been out shoveling for about 40 minutes (of a roughly 2.5 hour job) when he flagged down a snow plow driving by. He offered the guy $35 to finish our driveway and sidewalks (we have a long driveway and walkway.) DH is now in our warm house, happily drinking his morning coffee and watching the remainder of the clean-up!

We got about 24 inches and don't need a snow blower, I have 3 sons and a DH, they dug our driveway out last night and the snow plow finally came down our street this morning. My guys have tickets to the Ravens game this evening so they didn't mind digging us out this time. I was just glad they were all home from college, or I would of been out there digging also.

I know what it's like out our door Alex (about 15") so I am not going anywhere..

I'm just up the road from you and one of the best things we ever did was hire a crew to come plow our driveway a couple years back. They are also the same guys who mow our lawn and they are AWESOME!!!

I know what it's like out our door Alex (about 15") so I am not going anywhere..

We can't have it plowed, my driveway comes down into basically a bowl, we have a garage under so a snow blower is the only way to clear it. We tried having someone plow at first but they did more damage than good

Our driveway is way too wide (we can fit 4 cars across at the house and then another four cars and then 5 more down the length) I have to go shovel in a little bit; usually my dad plows for us but it broke so I'm stuck doing it by hand - I figur I'll finish about 8PM

On another note - did anyone see the weather channel white christmas forecast - they said people in southern MA and south down the coast only had a 50-30% chance of a white Christmas

Mine will throw the snow a good 30 feet so if you started at the center you should be able to. You need a big gas one though. I would get the electric start

You failed to mention how long and wide your driveway is! Maybe you should up the ante to $35-$40, you may get a taker!

Gee Alex, I would have my husband run my daughter down there to make $20 and help you out, but he has lost his keys in the snow! Looks like somebody won't be going too far until we get a thaw. He thinks they fell into the snow blower which means they got blown out onto the front lawn somewhere.
