Worst View at a DVC resort - has to be BCV?

Count me in as someone who dislikes the road view at BCV. I am a real balcony person. The high point of my vacations is sitting on my balcony sipping wine or coffee. On my first trip I had a studio (1st or 2nd floor - I forget) very close to the road with the longest balcony ever - so long it went around a corner on the building. It was so disappointing because the road noise really did bother me, and that gorgeous balcony went to waste. Second stay was ground floor with a courtyard view - we were behind the lattice work right next to the walkway. The kids called it patio jail - LOL.

Lucky for me there are plenty of DVC's to choose from! :cool1:

I have to agree. We had a 2 bedroom last June and the view was Frustrating! LOL We had the walled patio (Highest floor overlooking the back swamp and road, EPCOT to the right). The part of BCV that extends out in the self parking area blocked all but the highest fireworks so that was a wash too.
We still enjoyed our stay but we just closed the shades and didnt even use the patio. No DVC is perfect, but I think the biggest drawback of BCV are the views. I will be requesting pool views from now on and if that doesnt happen we will just keep the shades drawn! :rotfl:

We loved BCV and I can't wait to go back - had 3 rooms, 2 on 4th and 1 on 5th, all with EPCOT views. But, the "service road" was horrible, in my opinion. When I started to read about the different views on this board I kept thinking there must have been another view with some other small road, because I wouldn't classify what we had as a service road! I grew up near a flight line so it wasn't hard to shift back into gear to ignore the noise, but since we're not in the room that much anyway, next time we'll ask for "no view" and let someone else have the coveted EPCOT views!
