They're great in most places! Josh actually loves it. He says he gets special treatment. But I did notice a few people seem annoyed. In those cases we totally wished they didn't have to call the chef either and could just put it in, but since it seems to be protocol they have to.
I know that they have a button to "decline consult" so that's interesting. Most of them said that they were comfortable enough with an gluten only allergy that they could just put it in. I learned a LOT about running their registers. I am SUPER nosy when it comes to those things. Analeigh was so great about showing me how it worked that after that, I felt comfortable walking the CM through the order. A lot of them just didn't know where the "Special Diets" menu button was and then what you could and couldn't add for sides, etc. But it's all there. Once they go to special diets and then select the allergy, all the options come up. I wonder if they get a chef/manager because they don't know how to ring it up.
That's pretty much what Josh does. He always says he doesn't want it and if I offer him some he'll say he doesn't but occasionally he'll just start eating it and then eat most of it
I usually just end up with a medium or a small. I always eat the whole small though so it's better to go bigger.
They did that to me to at Art of Animation, too.

and tried to bolster my feelings. I decided to stay in the tub longer and read a book to take a mental break. I didn't want my parents to know I was upset because I didn't want to talk about it.
