Worried About TCD!

Hiya

Well I never thought these words would come out of my mouth, but I am very worried about my upcoming holidays with tcd, because of the experiance my sister is having with them now.

She is coming back to the uk today

But while she has been there heres the things she has had to deal with.

On arrival sunshine first, premium and upp deck cases took two and a half hours! to come off the plane (and hour and a half after everyone else apart from those three classes left). a tcd stafff member was heard taking a call from a customer, and laughing after they hung up on them.

Arrived at villa to dirty beds full bins and dirty toilets as well as a **** roach infestation. Had to call tcd out that night to clean (bear in mind they have two small girls who were tired). tcd dealt with it that night though they did not leave the villa till late.

I had to send cream to sophie as we all know, and guess what the address tcd gave them for the villa (they went to lbv to get it to get for me) was wrong the cream had never arrived (to the tune of £70) she did tellme it got there so I didnt worry but has had to admit it now

They have had three more bug problems, crawling voer the kitchen and bedrooms.

Then the pool filter gave up so no pool for the last 4 days as it was dirty.

So you can see why I am worried, plus its really not what sue needed, with all the cancer treatment she has been having she needed a break.

Am I right to worry or am I working into a panick?

Blimey, TCD - never flown with them Anna.

Obviously they have been discussed many times on here, I cannot really offer an opinion other than to say most of us at some point have suffered some sort of frustration with an Airline, it just happens I am afraid.

As far as the Villa is concerned, we have had a similar - to be honest much worse - expereince with the first rental we took out a few years ago, however this had been neglected by the owners and was booked independantly.
It is very rare to have such problems with what I presume is a fairly new home, having said that the tropical climate does bring it's little pests along now and then, although by the sound of it this experience you talk about was pretty bad.
Generally all the villas we have stayed at since our 1st 'disaster' have been very clean and it is unusual to find these sort of problems.

Cleanliness is a factor though and it is vital that the kitchen areas in all homes are kept spotless and clean ( I am not in anyway suggesting this was not the case in this instance).

If we worried about everything that could go wrong then I think we would make ourselves ill - my advice would be not to worry, I am sure everything will be fine - these problems I am sure are in the minority.

i hope so, I am just so gutted for her she really nedded this to go right.

I am at present researching a second 2007 trip, and looking else where now lol
