Worried about Sci-Fi....

I had a late lunch ADR for Sci-Fi on our recent trip. Despite the mixed reviews, I decided to give it a try. But when te fmaily looked at te menu, no one was really jazzed about the selections. Also, we found that we were already hungry earlier in the day.

Solution: We grabbed pizzas/subs at Pizza Planet for lunch, opting for rice kripsie treats as dessert (which we saved for later), and then went to Sci-Fi and ordered just milk shakes. We still got the "experience" of Sci-Fi and everyone was happy.

The food definitely is not great!! Three times now and have not been impressed any time. But, it is a Disney staple and you HAVE to eat there at least once! The atmospher makes up for the food and it really isn't THAT bad!! I would say go and see for yourself if you like it or not.

I have to agree. The food is basic. But the atmospher is the selling point for us. We "eat" there every trip as well. It's a Must Do for us. We make our ressies for mid day and only order fries/onion rings, milk shakes and ice cream. For us we use it as a snack stop and to re energize ourselves. Holds us over til dinner. Definetely pay out of pocket for this one.
Have fun.

We like Sci-Fi Diner.

The onion rings are my favorite but I do pay the price for eating them later in the day (they are a bit greasy). I like the BLT soup and the turkey sandwich without the avocado mayo nonsense.

I just canceled my PTC adr to switch us to SciFi. I know the food's not as good, but its been a while and I miss the fun atmostphere :goodvibes.

We love it at Sci Fi too! Here's my question though, want to make an ADR for our upcoming trip, but we also want to sign up DS'S ( 8 and 11) for Jedi Training, my oldest son did it last time and now the little one is dying to

But we wont know what show they can do until we get there, so how do we know what time to make our ADR for? Does that make sense? LOL

We have been to lunch a few times and really enjoyed our food...the onion rings are to die for and not greasy at all, loved the reuben and the burgers are great!
