World Passport Collection?

It is for the most part the space banked weeks that come from owners of other resorts that deposit them with Interval International (II). You deposit a set number of points for a week at a resort somewhere in the world. It also has some places through Buena Vista Trading Company that you can get on a nightly basis.

Thanks for the info. If I want to trade through II do I have to see how many points a certain resort is worth? For instance if I have 150 points at OKW do I need to see if a Marriott in Hawaii is worth 150 for a week? (I'm sure Marriott is worth more if that is the way it works.):Pinkbounc

It used to be like that but it's not any more. Now there is a set number of points during the high, middle and low seasons that you have to deposit for a studio, 1BR or 2BR. 160 points would get you a 1BR during the high season and 144 points a 1BR during the middle season.

It represents two companies. Interval International (II) and BVTC. II is one of the big two timeshare exchange companies where people swap their weeks. it's pretty much like a barter service in many ways. BVTC is similar but it allows direct access to a few timeshare locations and only other than 7 days. I think the only current participants are Club Intrawest but only for a few of their properties and Cordial out of Europe. The choices have really shrunk over the years in the BVTC. Previously there were a number of HI options, Oregon, CA and additional Canadian options.

Really? So basically anybody with the standard 150 points needs to get 10 more points to have a 1 Bedroom during the high season... Do our DVC points give us any edge with exchanges?

What you have to do is figure out which resorts and what time of year and contact members services. They can then tell you what weeks are what season and how many points it would be if you match. You can always bank and/or borrow to get enough points.

Thanks so much for the info. I am still not a member yet but I want to be armed with all my info when the time comes. I like the option, although I know it is not the best financial decision, of being able to trade if I wanted to.:earsboy:
