World of Color Superthread

But starting 6/20, DCA hours go back to 10 pm!!:confused3

I saw a couple days during the week, maybe 15-16th the park is closing at 6pm.

Mostly I think the calendar is not up to date.

I would really guess that desert or meal packages won't start out on day one. So many people will show up to see the shows that the parks will be packed. They will have their hands full feeding for that reason alone.

I believe those are Grad nights.

All this waiting and speculation is killing me! I can not wait for the official announcement so that we know what is going on!

Hmmm...the official Disneyland world of color says-

Dining Enhances Your Magical Evening
World of Color takes the idea of dinner and a show to a whole new level. Whether you reserve one of the special dining experiences or want to get a quick snack before the show, World of Color will be the centerpiece of a great night out.

So, I think I'll call once again. Calling Disney daily is good for me, right? Especially since we have ONE MONTH left!:cheer2:

You go!!!!! And don't forget to report back!

Got a great CM, who says no, Premium Dining is not available yet, but it definately will be for WOC.

She says they don't know a date they go on sale at this point, but they are having one crazy phone day, so she hopes it will be soon. When it is, you won't buy them online, but it will say that you can "book now", or "schedule by calling...".

Maybe it's just me, but I have to say Disney seems badly unprepared on WOC all the way around, judging by the articles, etc. Hopefully it will all turn out fine. If we had not already scheduled our trip before the opening was announced(sigh), I certainly would have waited for all the mayhem to be over!

I'm guessing why they're possibly offering the WOC dining option online is due to volume. IF, they are offering 500 or more WOC dining packages for each show per day, then the amount of calls from guests would be huge! Fantasmic desert package doesn't come close to that number of reservations and I think we all know how stressful it is for us to call 30-days in advance. In addition, if they are offering different WOC packages, then it would take a bit of time for vacation planning or dining to go through all the options. It also sounds like once they "get it together", you can reserve online or by phone - again this leads me to believe they will be offering 100's of packages per day, with dining options. Of course, this is just a theory, based on bits and pieces of fact and rumors!:scared1:

I just finished on the phone with Vacation Planning. I know it is just another opinion but the cm indicated they may not offer the WOC dinner package until the WOC show has been up and running for a bit and all the kinks are worked out...which makes sense:goodvibes

I was talking to them just a little while ago also and got the same feeling. She also thinks that is what the re-opening date of Wine Country Trattoria is no longer listed.

We are going June 19-26 and and I have been talking with my Disney rep and here's what she said in an email reply " Still no word on the Premium seating for WOC.* I did speak with Disneyland today and they haven't been told anything. Once agent did say they may wait until the initial rush to see WOC is over but she doesn't know for sure."

More to think about.

All I can say is if they don't do premium seating for WoC at first, I really hope they do the fastpasses for VGC guests!! Although, I guess it won't be too bad to go to the FP machine from the hotel first thing in the morning!

MTE! :goodvibes And DH said again last night: "There is no way in hell I am going to spend more money to see a show when I already paid to get into the park".

It would be neat to know ahead of time that you have a seat to WOC through a Dinning package. I just see a free for all when they drop the rope to the FP meachines, people will just run each other over to get there. I was hopeing for a more control ticket distrubution, say handing them out before the gate opens, or set up a resvp system:confused3. I really excited to see It but If It like a stamped, no way no show Is worth getting ran over or getting into a fight because my DS Is getting pushed around. We will just check It out If there Is space fine If not fine to.\
Another thing, I wish the CM's would just say they have no new Info, all the
"I think" or "I have hered" or "at this point" just get people more confused??:confused3, we see a statement that a CM has said this and we get so excited, because we think Its comeing from Disney:sad2:. Just my thought.:goodvibes

A fellow man after my own heart. The show will be just as good with a hotdog as a 'dinner'. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: He does not need validation on this issue. I know he is right but I at least want all the details so I know what I am being refused and how let down I should be!

We are supposed to go to DLR in August...I hope that dining/dessert/show packages are available by then...

Thank you to everyone who's chimed in with updates! Even if we don't have a final answer yet. :)

I'm not personally planning to do the Priority Seating thing--I'm cheap and my travel partner is a picky eater (a "box" lunch with lettuce and mayonnaise on a sandwich would not please her at all). Plus it appears you'll still be standing anyway, and possibly jostling with crowds. And until they start running shows, I doubt there will be much guarantee as to where you'll be placed (likely a mediocre-to-good seat is my personal guess; Fantasmic's aren't perfect, although that's partly by design). But provided I can manage to see over the head of whoever's in front of me :flower3: I'm OK with a mediocre or possibly even a "blue area" view. I'd prefer a better view, but $60+ worth? Not sure.

But I'm still intensely curious! As a human guinea pig, I must stay informed of all developments so I can work on my battle plan. :rotfl:
