Hello!

I am making out my 2012 budget. Part of that includes a Jan/Feb Disney trip!

I have my share of the vacation package (value 7 nights, 6 days of parks free dining) paid for with reward points.

I am trying to guesstimate how much more I will need. DD will be 5 and the last time we went, she just wanted a balloon and a flashing toy.

Can anyone remember how much those flashing toys were? And the big balloons? Also, anyone else with a 5 yr old girl, did she ooh and ahh over anything in particular when she was there?

Thanks!

I think the balloons are $12.

I am scouring the Disney store, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, etc. for items like the flashing toys, t-shirts, stuffed animals, etc. Then, I plan to leave one out each night and say it came from the Disney Fairy. :) Hopefully this will curb DS's case of the wants while we're there and be a lot less expensive for me.

Have fun!

When my daughter was 5, the princesses were on the very top of her list. Sparkly princess barrettes or a small tiara from Claire's would have thrilled her. She also loved getting autographs from the characters at that age, so a fat pen, autograph book and a fanny pack/backpack to carry them were a must. I can't help you with the balloon and flashy thingy prices. My daughter is 21. Five was a very long time ago.

Both DDs at that age (what a great age to do Disney BTW) wanted the princess dresses. They were so much nicer than the ones in the Disney Stores, but boy the sticker shock. If you can budget to get one, that would be nice.
