Debra: Sugar calls me too, usually in the form of bread! It's a hard one.....if I can hold out several days in a row, it seems to get easier.....but now, since I am not low carbing it's really hard! My carb intake is less than most people, but it's hard to get a balance and not over-do. This is one reason I saw the nutritionist....I am trying to focus on fueling!
If I change my mind-set, and view food more with "what can this do for me?" mentality maybe it will get easier. I have such an addiction to bad food. I can be 'good' for awhile, but it always calls me back!
With my marathon a focus now, and the fact that I DON'T want to gain weight.....it's a little easier for me to say 'no' to bad food. Maybe this is the time to change my habits for good!
Great job on the 2 pound loss.....and to think it's 40% of your short term goal is awesome! A very motivating way to look at it! It's not just 2 pounds....it's almost 1/2 way there!

AFM: Well, I got on my TM this morning for intervals......ugh...... Intervals are hard for me anyway, but 5AM?
They got done though. I usually do the training program Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and then fill in the rest of the week with extra miles and strength training.....so it's Tuesday! I got them done (which I am happy about) but I am really feeling tired today. I did 5 miles yesterday, 45 min of stretch class, and an hour of Pilates......it was a struggle toward the end, I'll tell ya!
I am finding out that I am hungry in the evening for the last several days.....I don't think I am eating enough during the day. I will try to change that up today.

*** Vicky: WTG on the LR. I did 12 miles last week, and it felt like a death march.....glad to see you had a good 10 miler!

Kicking the junk food to the curb is a great move!

but the reality is that it's going to depend on our finances. We can get tickets on points but I was thinking of using those for next January. Curse that picture of that colourful C2C medal!

I don't live by a coast! I am closer to Denver, CO than I am to Houston, TX! So there you go! Btw, I wouldn't run in a nude race OR take a nude class. I was suggesting videos! I couldn't believe it when I saw them in Hastings! I suppose though, a wall full of mirrors and that weight would come off!!!!!
Good job on that gym thing. -- Molasses is VERY viscous and has a really strong flavor. It is the primary sugar in things like: Ginger Snaps and Ginger bread and other dark baked goods. I use it in baked beans because of the consistency and the strong flavor. It might take some getting used to!
On the upside, shifting around your WO to accommodate DS sounds like a good way to keep your body "on its toes."
The question is, whether it's better than a sleepover of your favorite WISHers? Hmmm.... (thanks for the offer...I need to look into stuff in your area).
You sound a little down overall. Maybe those tummy troubles are affecting you in lots of ways. Not just needing to keep a full stomach, but all over physically. And probably mentally, too. I hope things get better soon. And I bet being able to focus on your training for Boston--and how awesome are YOU??!!--will give you a little lift, as well!

Trust me, a WISHer sleepover would be more fun
I am so sorry about your stomach issues. My dh went through something similar two years ago. He still sees the gastroenterologist regularly, and has been prescribed big doses of prilosec every day, which keeps his stomach acid at a manageable level. I tell you that because it took awhile to figure out what the best course of management was -- so don't get discouraged!
And since he bought it, there was nothing I could do but eat it.
Here's hoping your stomach issues get resolved soon.
