Hi all, I am finally planning our vacation for 2003. I have some questions that I hope all you experts can help me with.

1. If I use Dreams Unlimited can I still use the AE card and get the white glove treatment?
2. I need an outside stateroom for 4 with a navigator window. What deck is the cheapest way to go?
3. When booking the vacation through Dreams Unlimited, how much is needed to be put down at time of reservation and when does the balance need to be paid?
4.For everyone who has been on the Wonder, did you like having an extra day at sea or was it worth it to stop at Freeport?
5. I won't be able to schedule our vacation till Jan 2003 because thats when my husband's company schedules vacations. We are
planning on sailing in June or July of 2003. Is 6 to 7 months in advance too late to guarantee getting a room?

Thanks everyone for all your help!

I'll try to help with your questions:

1. You can still get the Amex White Glove package, but you have to pay the deposit as well as the balance of the cruise with the card. There's an optional Amex package that is discussed in another thread here on the cruise board that might interest you also.

2. The Navigator's Veranda cabins (category 7) will only sleep 3, some Category 6 Cabins will accomodate 4 and they have a full open Veranda. The deck doesn't matter with prices of cabin categories, just the category. The least expensive cabin that has a Veranda and will accomodate 4 people is in Category 6. They are on Deck 6 and Deck 5, same price for either deck.

3. I believe that DU uses the standard deposit required by DCL, which is $200 per person. The balance is due no later than 60 days before your cruise date.

4. We were on a 4 day cruise on the Wonder and we preferred to have a day at sea rather than a stop at Freeport. We reasoned that a stop at Nassau would be similar to a stop at Freeport. I know that isn't fair for Freeport, but we really wanted the day at sea.

5. Normally, 6 to 7 months in advance is fine for booking a cabin. The summer months are the most popular months because children won't have to miss school so they do fill up faster, but you should still be fine. Remember that the earlier that you book your cruise, the better chance you have to take advantage of the Early Booking Savings. The Early Booking Savings comes in tiers, so the greatest savings go to the first groups that book. As time goes on and as the ship fills up with bookings, the early Booking Savings might be reduced.

Hope that helps.

If I am not mistaken, the Freeport stop is being discontinued after August or September 2001, because Disney did not renew their contract with Freeport. So this might not be an issue for you at all. If this info has changed, someone will probably correct me. Erin
