When it's down to the wire to find a reservation, I use a page reloader. But does anyone know of a free page reloader with an alert for a change on the page. Everyone of those apps I've seen has some crazy subscription cost.

I'm in the same boat. I spent about 2 weeks constantly trying to get a bw view 1 bedroom in late September (had garden view booked). I was able to get the 3 nights I wanted through stalking and my waitlist coming through and now I don't know what to do with myself . We have our Grand Cal and Aulani Christmas/New Years trip booked the way we want as well as Spring Break and July. I was also able to secure Beak and Barrell for September. Life gets boring when the no dvc or dining reservation stalking to be done.

I have been using DVC Toolkit to help with notifications when rooms become available - I got a free one year trial on it, but will need to decide soon if it's worthwhile to keep or not. I have had some success here, but also some I found just searching before it hits the app. Do people use this and have an opinion? Or is there an alternative I should look into?

I’m on property now. The storm yesterday was minor. Sure some lightning for 10 minutes. Rain was done within a half hour. No clue why everything went down for hours.

I think it’s a great tool for people who are busy and have limited time to constantly check the web for availability.

It depends on what the refresh rate is for the app. I haven't tried toolkit. But the various DVC "tracker" apps for open reservation dates that I've seen only check every couple of hours, which is mostly pointless. For sought after reservations, especially for the coming two weeks, they are usually gone within 10 minutes.

At AKL it poured like heck for over 1.5 hours. Lightning all over the place. This was the Savannah view of a poor guy stuck out there in it. Palm golf course was cart path only today because it was completely waterlogged.
