Wonder - November 9, 2013 - Bahamas from Galveston

I guess I need to check in more often. :rotfl2: I am missing out on all the fun!
Does anyone know if there has been a facebook group created for this cruise? One person created one for our last cruise and that's how everyone kept in contact, it seemed to work out well. Just curious if anyone has started that in this group?
I did, here it is:https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/503413083058463/ Hopefully that link works!

I went a few pages back to catch myself up on the happenings around here. :thumbsup2 I noticed that you guys were talking about a good time/place to do a meet & greet. On our last cruise, we planned a meet & greet up on the top deck by the pool right after the drill. Everyone is usually up top anyway because of the sail away party. So, we just partied together and had a blast getting to know each other as we sailed away. Just an idea. :confused3

Thanks for the facebook link. I sent a request! ;)

There has been a Facebook group started. Try searching the cruise date on Facebook or look through some of the older posts and kjackson posted a link I believe.

Yea, the link that kjackson83 posted took me there. I sent a request to be added to the group. :thumbsup2
Thanks for the help! :D

Kjackson83. I just sent a request to join the Facebook group through the link you posted.

Go to Cruise and Destination tab..click port adventures...on right side under port adventures just for you section of page use drop down menu and select destination or click link View All Disney Cruise Line Port Adventures

Thank you -- I was trying to find it in the "My reservations" area, and missed it there. I'm looking at the Atlantis Aquaventure excursion -- hopefully it doesn't sell out, altho I have booked my airfare, so guess I am committed to the trip, so could go ahead and pay for this too (just hate to before I have to). I'm glad to see that there are lots of choices. The last cruise I went on, two of the things I booked got cancelled (not DCL).

:headache: My laptop and printer both died on the same week and I missed A LOT here!! popcorn:: I finally read up, and I sent a request for FB (last name Liedecke). I look forward to meeting you all there! DanaG...I will PM you about the FE. :cheer2:

How was the ship? She still in good condition?

We went on the Dream last September and there are definitely small differences in the condition, but they do a great job with keeping the older ones looking nice. My only complaint with the Dream vs. Wonder was the hairdryer - be sure to bring your own!!!! The tube thing they call a hair dryer does not work.

We are definitely looking forward to cruising on the Wonder again though!

On the last two cruises we went on the initial meet was on embarkation day at 3 p.m. at Promenade Lounge. The area is big enough for the kids to run around and the adults still to talk. On the cruise we just got back from they also had an adult meet later in the trip. I didn't participate, but someone also arranged a meet at Palo Brunch in the back room for group to do. A lot of people seemed to enjoy that as well.

Just finalized our cruise details today. We, DH and I are so excited to join you. We were on the Magic in January and can't wait to be back on the Wonder. Have enjoyed reading through this thread. :wave2:

Hello fellow travelers! My family and I will be joining everyone on this magical trip. We have never cruised ever so we are certainly looking forward to this. We will be joined with two of our good friends and their families and my in-laws. We are waiting to tell our two boys about this amazing trip until a couple of weeks before we leave to make this even more magical. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for revealing a Disney trip to their children? Thank you in advance!!

When you sign in the DCL page, there is a place you can request a phone call from one of the Disney characters. What about scheduling a call from Mickey Mouse.?.
Have a blast telling them. That's so exciting. :cool1: I've never been able to keep our trips a secret.

I saw on youtube that one family pulled up to the terminal, and told them there and they told them they were going on the ship. The kids were so excited:hyper:. Also have seen another where the mom had decorated the dining room with DCL items and then presented a video about the trip, then laid it on them and of course they were in shock:eek:....I guess it depends on how good you can keep a secret, I cannot :p

We couldnt keep the secret. ...kids know they are going on mickeys boat....but they haven't seen what the boat looks like yet
