Wonder - November 9, 2013 - Bahamas from Galveston

My name is Ken. I will be traveling with my wife, Kim, and our son, Craig. It will be our 14th anniversary while on board and our son’s 3rd birthday two days later. We are currently booked on this trip but we are not 100% certain we will be going. There are several factors in play but the fare was really just too good to pass up if there was a possibility we could find the time.

This will be the 15th cruise for my wife and I (my 16th overall) if we make it. Additionally, it will be my son's fourth! He has been on our last three cruises.

This will be the first time we have ever repeated a ship and itinerary having been on the Wonder back in November of 2000. But this is 100% for our son. He has been nice enough to put up with us on our trips, so he gets this one. Plus, they have refurbished the ship since then so it won't be exactly the same.

I have been posting on the Cruise Critic role call since we booked in April but most people seem to be on this board. It appears as if CC is trumped by DIS when it comes to these particular cruises.

We look forward to meeting everyone and having a great time on Disney for less than their usual high prices!

Ken

We are getting so excited for this cruise. We are trying to talk my sister in laws into joining us for this cruise.
I am starting to work on my ideas for my door decorations. Just wanted to remind all the first time Disney Cruisers that anything that goes on your door must be put on with magnets. I buy the magnets in a roll at Hobby Lobby. I always pack a few extra magnets just in case.
I can't wait to get back on the Wonder! Sherry:cool1:

This is our family's first Disney cruise. It will be me, the hubby, our 3 year old & both sets of grandparents! Look forward to meeting a few people, but I'll be honest I probably won't be "together" enough for a fish extender! I'm sure we'll all have a blast. :yay:

Does anyone know how it works with time zones on the cruise? I mean what time zone will we be in on the 10th? This is key because it is also formal night so not I'm sure if we will have to skip dinner in the dining room to catch the Saints/Cowboys game in a bar. I am also going to post this on our fb page.:happytv:

Game is at 7:30 CST

Most ships go by ship time which is usually the Time zone from where you left...our case central. At least that is how my past two cruises worked ( not dcl)

Wow! My husband and I have been talking about this cruise so much that all 4 of my sister in laws are signed up and coming with us. I will try to get them all on disboards. We are so excited to have them sail with us! Sherry:banana:

I was looking at my Navigators from last year when we sailed out of Galveston November 10-17; and in Sunday's navigator it reminded us to turn our clocks forward 1 hour upon retiring Sunday evening, or first thing Monday morning. This would have been about the time that we crossed over from central time to eastern time. If it works the same way this year, Sunday would be central time and Monday would be eastern. This was on the Disney Magic.

Yay! Got this bad boy paid off today and I'm so excited.

Almost as excited as now having a Christmas cruise!!!

Come on, Aug 26, let's get some fun things booked. :woohoo:

Yep one more payment next payday and we will be paid up also. Not sure we will do excursions this trip. First family cruise with my girls. The boat is the main attraction this trip. We still plan to explore the ports for photo ops.

Could someone post the link to the Facebook page again? Or let me know what post # it's listed on? Thanks!

Hi Everyone! I'm on the Facebook group but I wanted to introduce us here also. We have 2 boys who will be 5 and 2.5 on the cruise. This is our third Disney cruise since they've been sailing out of Galveston. I'm so sad they are leaving but I really hope they come back!! We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary and my 40th birthday. I'm still undecided on the FE's. we've never done them before but I know they are so much fun and my boys would love it.

We were on this same cruise! We loved it so much we booked this cruise.

So excited to have my sisters in law on this cruise with us. I am going to sign them up for the Fe. I will gather stuff for them in Houston so they don't have to fly with all that stuff from Nebraska. :cool1: this is going to be such a great cruise. Sherry
