I started another thread this morning about this, but thought about posting it here too:

Go to this website for the Port Authority of Grand Cayman and look at any month from October 2012 through December 2012.

A few months ago, the Disney Magic was listed as being at Grand Cayman on Christmas Eve 2012. It's no longer there. Instead, it has the Disney Wonder listed as being at Grand Cayman starting on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012. After that, it is listed as being at Grand Cayman every Tuesday through the week before Christmas.

Will the Disney Wonder move to Galveston starting in October 2012?

Does this mean that the Magic may move to New York as rumored or stay in Europe?

The good news is that if this is true, the Wonder will have to do another Panama Canal crossing!!

DD wants to do a Med (or TA) cruise for graduation next year. If that doesn't pan out she still wants to do a DCL cruise so we're just wondering where we are going to wind up cruising too.

I have it bad too. But Carnival just posted a wonderful cruise to Hawaii and will decide once the Wonder itinariers come out. Plus I am sure it is way cheaper!

So I have been reading everything I can about DCL and DL

Here is my hope: There will be a DCL cruise out of LA for summer 2012, so we can see DL for the first time

Here is my fear(and I have this sinking feeling this will happen)CL summer 2012 will do Alaska, I really hope not.

If summer 2012 is Alaska, I will book Dream or Fantasy 2013.

I have my cabin picks already, lol

For us our trip has to include a side trip to DL or DW

I have been pondering DL in Paris too, but the flights are really kind of putting this in last place.

I am anxiously awaiting March 10th to see what the news is, I hope I will be put out of my misery then. I have my deposit already and waiting.

What is every one elses hopes & fears for the rest of 2012 announcements for the Wonder and Magic???

I really want Europe for 2012. We have looked at a variety of cruise lines for Europe and the ports DCL is doing for the 11 night Med is really want we want. I know they will not do the same Med itinerary for 2012 but I keep hoping they will have something just as interesting.

If no Europe for the Magic in 2012 my backup plan is either a 4 night Dream in August 2011 or Fantasy for Thanksgiving 2012.

More than likely it will be Dream in August and just flying to Europe in 2012 and going to a few cities.

I have March 10th marked. What time is the announcement?

hopefully, someone more qualified can answer the specifics. I read this somewhere on the DIS, and I will look to find where so I can post the link for you of where I read this...

The gist of what I read is there is some kind of "talk" going on between DCL and Travel Agents. The wishful thinking is we will know what DCL is thinking about 2012. So basically it is a fingers crossed kind of thing.

I looked at the Med cruise myself to see how I could tie it in to DL Paris, but it would be too costly for me. Now if the Magic did England and Paris it would make me take a second look.

We would really like to to a TA cruise.
A Med cruise would be a very close second.
Cruising the Baltic would be great too.
"Worst" case is a Hawaii/Vancouver cruise.


If these aren't the options I have no idea what we'll do. None of us want to do a MR or Alaska cruise. DD and I love the idea of just going to Italy. DH wants to cruise (but only DCL). And DS? He just wants to go to WDW.

There are definitely worse things than having to take a Hawaii-Vancouver cruise. It's just not our first (second or third) choice.

FYI - we did DL Paris in 2009 (see TR in my sig). I recommend skipping it & pouring the $ into DCL. Good luck!
