Holy Cow! How frightening! I'm so glad everybody is ok. I hope things are turning around for you and your family.Page 3
No way
Having a bit of bad luck, like everyone else is these days.
Days before my DS20 went back to college he totalled my completely loved PAID IN FULL suburban. No one injured thank the Lord.
Have no car until we get the insurance check.....over a month - during summer - DD and I spend lots of time walking to the pool
We buy our new car and the second day, Labor Day, I get this great idea to drive it to San Jose (from Orange County) to visit my son in college and see his new apartment. Hubby has a court appearance there on Tuesday - so cancel his flight and take DD12 up with us to visit son.
Labor Day, Monday, after driving up there I'm cooking dinner for my son and his roommates who want a home made dinner. Send DH out to the store.
Hmmm, he's gone too long and somethings wrong. DH turned in front of a metro train - onto the tracks - dragging him 50 yds or more. He climbs out of the passenger side. Thank the Lord he only had broken ribs and a concussion. He was only worried that he totalled my brand new car on Day2.
We were truly blessed...until we learned we only had liability! But good, because apparently we have to pay for the damage to the train!!!!
Come home, 3 days later my son at college gets his new bike stolenjeez.
So now I'm waiting for another carmore importantly, I have my husband. My wonderful brother who is also an attorney drove up the next morning to help my hubby at his court appearance because he was still in shock! He couldn't function. Then my brother drove us home and loaned me a spare car until I get another one
I need some pictures.....THANK GOODNESS this cruise is paid for and I don't have to drive anywhere

P.S. I'm thinking about getting the same car...it saved my hubby's life![]()
My daughter (7th grade now) had a blast delivering FE gifts on our Panama Canal cruise in 2008. We spread it out over the 15 days (because we had over a hundred cabins participating).Thank you all my friends and thank you lvstitch for the pics. I loved the pictures of The Dream! That is very exciting!
I received our fish extender today!!!! Purchased it from gradysmommy on Ebay. I love it and believe me, it is much better "in person" then on the photos on ebay. The detail is beautiful! There are no patches! My daughter was so excited and it's hanging in my family room for us to look at everydayI can't believe I only paid $20 for it.
We are so excited to participate in this! Even though DD is in 6th grade, I can tell she is very excited about the idea of not just receiving but giving. It will be something very fun for us on our mother/daughter quick getaway week end
Getting so excited now!![]()
I do. I have two kids with my ex - remarried and have a wonderful daughter. I wanted to wait until my two kids were 18 before I changed my last name, i.e., get through high school. We cruised many times during this time we we all had different last names.
I brought my birth certificate, marriage license, divorce papers, new marriage license, photo id, and even my gym pass that said my name-hypen-married name, my costco card and Auto Club card that said my maiden name and married name. Oh, and also a notarized note from my ex just in case![]()
If we were disembarking, I'd worry about it. It's harder to register for little league in my area than it is to board a ship that goes to nowhere
Passports make everything so easy![]()
Thanks! I feel better knowing it won't be a problem! I'll take everything!! We will get passports before our next trip - it does sound like it just makes life easier![]()
How many days out is the Paid in Full date? 90 days? 75 days? I'm only curious because we're still GTY and still waiting for a cabin.

The Paid in full date is 75 days out. Remember, that you cannot book anything online until paid in full so if you're a returning cruiser and have a 90 day booking window, you'll want to be paid in full BEFORE your 90 day window.

Wasn't going to do it but decided to book brunch at Palo's. That's what happens when you start googling and pictures of the food pop up!![]()
Hi everyone. My family and I finished paying off the cruise todayThe excitement is starting to build with all of us because to clock is winding down. Is the 90 day mark October 23rd? I havent been to a Palo brunch, and it would be nice to do it with the BF.
On another note: I couldnt wait till January to get my Disney fix so I booked a last minute trip to WDW for next week!
I so wish that I could be planning a WDW trip this year. I'd go during Christmas in a second.
