Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

Hi everyone,

I currently had a CAT 9D (I think) on hold for a client but they have changed thier mind. If anyone wants it, let me know, I am going to drop it soon and hopefully we can time it so you can snag it. It is on Deck 1.

ok, now im really interested. My wife is calling to see if i can fit two more kids in another cabin that i have. If so then I'll take the cabin.

Bummer, Disney is telling me they're completely at capacity! I'll not be able to add more than the two you have in that cabin!!! I needed six. I was going to put 4 in that cabin and another two in my on-laws cabin.

Sorry! That stinks! Wow..guess this ship really is sold out!

Yeah! Welcome! ;):banana::banana: My DD and I love Grand California :) That's how I sold this Mother/Daughter cruise to husband.
It's cheaper than staying at the G.C. ;)

Thanks! I was at Disneyland when I got the email that we had a room, just about screamed right there. Yeah, we talked about that in regards to the cost. I haven't paid cash for a room at the resort in years but can't see this being much different and including food. How old is your daughter? Mine will be 14 and isn't sure about this whole "I'm ditching you" idea :rotfl:

Mine will be 14 a week after we get back..

A little something for Dsnydaddy, I see you are staying at the Port Orleans, have you ever stayed there before? We stayed there for the first time last October. We really liked it, such a pretty resort.

Just an FYI - both nights are cruise casual..no formal/semi-formal. Nothing on themes though...doesn't look like it will be a pirate night though! :sad1:

in about 2 1/2 hours - I will hopefully get to see what DCL is offering for Palo etc..will let you know!

Thanks for the info! How did you hear that there was no pirate night? Keep the tidbits coming. :goodvibes

I called tonight to make sure my clients were linked together.. they didn't say NO pirate night but they said the system said cruise casual only for both nights .. I asked if there was a pirate night and she said she didn't see one but that doesn't mean anything...I know for the PC they gave us the formal/semi formal/pirate night days.

So don't quote me on no pirate night... it was just a guess.

Will let you know if I hear anything!

Ok..I just booked my Palo and spa treatment...

For Palo they have brunch every half an hour starting at 10 A.M. until 12 PM.

High tea at 3 PM

Dinner on the 21st every half an hour from 6 PM - 8:30 PM and on the 22nd every half an hour from 6PM - 9 PM

They say they have an excursion but when you click on the button..nothing happens!

As for the Spa... of the treatments they show.. about half of the different massage treatsments show taken. Some have treaments Fri afternoon/evening..some only on Saturday. It looked like the manicures and pedicures are still pretty much open.

This doesn't mean that they are not holding some back for guests in the next round...I am just reporting what they are currently showing.

Hope this helps!

Lvstitch - since you're from Las Vegas... where would you recommend us to go for Thanksgiving dinner there?

We lived in Las Vegas from 2006-2009 and since we don't cook we usually ended up having our holiday meals on the strip. Before we lived there we would also vacation there over Christmas or Thanksgiving quite often. If is a little frustrating trying to get good information on what the actual menus are for thanksgiving. You can check out the website for the local newspaper (Las Vegas Review Journal) www.lvrj.com in the past they have posted a list of the restaurants with special thanksgiving offerings, but that usually isn't available until early/mid November and the information isn't always that detailed.

Basically every restaurant offers something along the lines of a traditional thanksgiving dinner. We have done CraftSteak, Kokomos, Bouchon, the Mirage Buffet, and a few other places that slip my mind for holiday meals in the past. Aside from the turkey and mashed potatoes we don't really have much interest in the "traditional" thanksgiving items so we usually ordered off the normal menu.

Nice Pics! We were there last October too. Just spent a couple of nights before our cruise on Oct 24th. We went to MNSSHP. I've toured a lot of the resorts and this one makes me feel the most relaxed!

Man! I am hoping to book a brunch! It's been my experience that DCL doesn't open new internet bookings for brunch for the later people. Last year I was a bit late in my brunch booking and they were gone. Thought that I could wait until the 75 day mark and more would open up, but when I loggen on a the 75 day mark there still were none to be had. Had to wait until boarding to snag one of the ones that they hold in reserve.
