Wonder in Alaska!!! May 27, 2013

:earboy2:
Thanks for the update. I think of the movies and shows and it is rain rain rain :rotfl:

When we moved here we were told they promote the rain to keep too many people from moving here and driving up the property costs.

We normally just get wet, water in Florida is warm, but when we head to Disney, We pack ponchos.....and then we forget to pack them, the result, lots and lots of ponchos....:rotfl2:

Too funny, we just unpacked a box of our camping gear we have not used in a while and found our old yellow rain ponchos from WDW. We have 4 of them,

Trip in September, we bought 3 new clear ones.

Cruise in December, we ended up with another 8 or so in our group, they pass them out as you disembark. I think the yellow ones will be designated to the pop up camper, the new nicely folded ones go back to the camera bag.

They are really all you need.

Plus they have Mickey on them

I agree, we just tell outsiders that it rains all the time to keep the crowds down. Now since you all are coming anyway I will say the last 3 days have been perfect. Sunny days with temps around 70 degrees. At least to me who works outside year round here in the Pacific Northwest it does not get any better than this. That being said it is suppose to rain this weekend. Two years ago when we went at the same time of year we had good weather except for Juneau, that day it was foggy and drizzle, all the flying tours were cancelled.

Irene, you guys aren't planning on going to WDW in the next week are you? I'm going on a very, very last minute trip Sat. afternoon and will be down until next Sat. This is so last minute, as in I decided this afternoon and asked my friend just before dinner if I could ride with him.

Do we pay you thru paypal by Tuesday?

Thanks, but no, that's not necessary. I haven’t posted payment instructions yet just because I want to nail down the time first – just in case someone needs to cancel. Once I have a time set and once I’ve paid DCL I will post the email account to send payment to.

If paypal is a problem for anyone, let me know by PM. I’m sure we can work something out.

Oh how fun...right now I have a wicked work schedule, translation ....no trips possible. I'll pm you info in case my schedule changes.

There's always summer or later in the year when I'm down then.
At least we finally get to cruise.

Disboard Meet Up
Where: Promenade Lounge, Deck 3, Midship
When: May 27th, Before Muster Drill
Time: 3:00-3:45 (Muster drill is at 4:00)
Why: To put faces with names!

Is this still the current information for a meet? It is what is on our first page...I recall discussions of other times but then, I have not been able to keep up...DH asked the other day so I figured I should try to start a schedule of important events.....

I know I'm crazy, but I've been checking the snowcover up there every day:surfweb::crazy2:

I know most of it will probably melt before we get there but I really Really hope there's still a little left up near Fraser for when we do the train/bus excursion. It's been years since I've seen/played with snow so that would be a real treat for me. :)

Snow,,,,that is that white stuff right?
And it is cold - right?

We finished up our Vancouver excursions today. Decided to take a tour of Victoria to see the gardens, I am really looking forward to that. Plus some time on our own possibly to Whistler...and of course exploring the city.

Snow ---- blech!!! I lived with it for 38 years, I dont miss it at all... we saw it at Christmas time.....and when we get it in Atlanta.. it shuts the city down for days!!! :rotfl2:

I am looking forward to the ice bergs!!! :)

Everyone should have received an updated FE list today. ( there were a few changes... bdays/ anniver ) and a few names spelled wrong.
