So is there a day for this, or you have to wait for Disney. I don't mind signing up, but it would be a 50/50 right now if myself and MIL would attend. That would be ok? I wouldn't want to cancel and mess anything up.

Disney will give us a time and date. From experience, this has always taken place on a sea day in the early afternoon (start time between 2:00 and 3:00). Once Disney agrees to do this for us, they will ask for a list with full names and stateroom numbers and the charge for this will be added to the stateroom account.

I just wanted to say "hi" over here as well. Have you managed to book your flights yet?

How is everyone getting to the terminal in Vancouver?

We are planning on flying into Seattle.
From there, we are debating driving up or taking the train.

Let's talk about this.
Trying to find the cheapest / easiest option for us.

Thanks!

There are 5 of us and possibly 8, we rented a car. We are flying in the night before.

Has anyone done acupuncture onboard? I've done it twice, it has become a requirement for me to enjoy the cruise. In contacting dcl to try and pre-book the treatment I've gotten a bit of a run around. Long story short, it is a contracted service and I must contact that company to see if they will be one onboard.

I was just wondering if anyone else had done this?

we are flying into Seattle on Friday, then renting a car to drive to Vancouver. (dh has free rental cars, and a free night at the Hilton in Van.

On the way home I think we might take the train.

I would gladly wear a card that says my disname. :) or a cruise lanyard..

there is a FE logo in the works too.

Same here. If you need help designing it, just let me know!

We are flying into Vancouver on Friday and staying for a few days at the Hyatt Regency. We'll walk to the pier from there.

Scooby3x1y, so do you have 6 on your boat? Did you happen to find out the name of your company? So far I haven't found anyone that will do two people for $130/pp, only three or more for that price.

We do have 6 people on our boat. However, the total price for the boat for 6 people is the same price that you found. It sounds like everyone is giving a discount if you fill the boat. I believe it is Northern Lights Fishing? He only has one boat, and we have talked to him on the phone a couple of times and he seems to be an upstanding guy. NWMom is interested, so that would give you three people. I don't think it will be a problem trying to fill one or two more spots so that you can get a deal.

I would ask where he would take you. I believe I mentioned before that the cruise ship fishing excursions take you to a part of the northern bay that only 1 fish over 28" may be caught per person. In the southern part of the bay they may change reg's (on June 1st - they usually do) that it is 6 per person. I would just do your homework :goodvibes

Good luck!!!

I had it done on our Hawaii cruise. I fortunately don't get sea sick, but I suffer from extreme motion sickness in cars and on certain rides. In a moment of madness, I encouraged DH to book an excursion to the infamous Road to Hana on Maui. I had acupuncture the evening before and I was absolutely fine and never took any medication. This was truly amazing.

We are taking the train to Seattle at 5:45 PM on June 3rd. We treated ourselves to Business Class tickets.

We are flying to Vancouver early saturday morning and our hotel has a shuttle to the terminal. We will be the ones with the piles of stuff :-)

I am game for wearing my disboards name on my lanyard!

As for the design, since we are an international group maybe we should include a globe in the design somehow indicating what countries are represented.

While calling about something else, I decided to also ask about the Pixar night. Apparently Buzz and Woody will be present and the 'you've got a friend in me' song will be played.

Just thought I would share in case this influences anyone's FE gift plans (as it did mine) or gives a Toy Story fan something to look forward to :)

Best,

Marise

Before I discovered how great acupuncture is, I would wear the patch behind my ear, and take meclizine (the active ingredient in dramamine) about 4 times a day. My pupils would dialate and that caused problems. When I wasn't still fighting off seasickness, I was tired. I still had a great time though. (My favorite place to go was deck 4 for a nap. I would dream about napping on deck 4 for a year!)

I get car sick, plane sick, sea sick, motion sickness while watching my kids video games spin on the t.v., etc. After trying acupuncture, it was a 1000% difference. Not only was I NOT sick, I felt great. I felt normal, like every other day, just on ship where I wanted to be.

I did get the number to the contracted spa company, and I plan to call them today. :offtopic: Anyway, if anyone is considering it, it is well worth the money.

I was kind of quietly hoping that I would finally get to meet Remy. Still, Buzz and Woody are nice, too.

For those that are doing the Fish Exchange, how many of you have your Fish Extender yet?

We are starting to think out what we're putting on our FE and how Alaska-ish to make it. It's always fun creating one!

we have 2 of them. I had a new one made for us last year. Sorry no sewing here. ;) ( we have one for each cabin now... us/ kids.)

We also use the same original one. It brings back memories of how special our first cruise was. :goodvibes

As far as gifts, we are kind of stuck. We aren't having much creativity right now!:hourglass

If you're talking about trying to meet him in Epcot, I totally know what you mean. I saw him through the window once, but could never time my ADR's to meet him! On the hopeful side, for all I know Buzz and Woody won't be the only characters available at the party :)

I decided to be lazy about this. I have a... well it's Mickey holding out his Fantasia hat and the hat acts as a pouch/stocking. I normally keep my cooking spoons/ladels and things like that in there, but I plan to take out the kitchen equipment and use it for my FE.

Best,

I just looked up the temperature for May and June. The average will be between 55 and 60 degrees and 16 hours of daylight! :cheer2:

Hi there. Your post made me smile. I live outside fairbanks and we reached about positive 20 today and had 9 and a half hours of sunlight today. No kidding, we opened our doors and windows and they kids played outside in the snow.

55-60 sounds so warm. I'll have to remember to pack shorts.
