dinner rotations: (copied from last years cruises:)

APPTAPT
PTTAPTA
TAATPAP

A-Animators
P Parrot cay
T- Tritons

Last Years cruises left out of Seattle and had a night in Victoria so I wondered which rotations they would be using.

I just called to confirm this years dinner rotations. They are slightly different than last years.

TAAPTAP- this one is different

PTTAPTA

Not sure I get why all sea days have the same restaurant.
Who knows?

I asked if there was anything else different than last time we cruised to Alaska, I was told no Pirate's, but Pixar night. I aksed what that meant; she was not sure, but I'm game.

When I called, the Cast Member I spoke with said it was a Pixar Party. He said that it will be located inside in the Atrium on Deck 3, Midship. You will meet characters such as Woody, Buzz and the gang. Also will be singing "You've Got A Friend In Me." The Cast Member went into song and started to sing it over the phone. He must reeeeally love his job!! :) It made me smile.

Thanks for all the info on dining rotations and pixar party info. Guess the pirate stuff is staying home.

My question is about the Character breakfast. Do you think there will be one this year? When I searched this topic, I read that your breakfast time is the first sea day that your dinner is in PC. How would that work with the suggested dining rotations. With the PTTAPTA, there is no sea day. Any ideas?

mickeyhereicome,

I wondered the exact same thing here. I am on hold with DCL to ask a few questions and I will be sure to ask yours as well! We are most wanting the rotation you mentioned (PTTAPTA) because we aren't too keen on Parrot Cay, so we will only eat there twice and Semi Formal night is at Tritons!

Do you have late or early dining?

On the phone with DCL. I requested our dining rotation!

So the Cast Member I am speaking to has told me this so far...

"We don't know which day they are going to schedule it."
"The server team will be the ones to schedule it and will tell you first night."
"They will offer you different times for character breakfast."

He has put me on hold to ask his supervisor... *hold music*

"Your Character Breakfast is only on at sea days. It will be either the 28th or the 2nd. Your server team will give you a ticket that tells you which morning you will have it on."

Hope this helps you! :cool1:

What do you not like about PC? Menu and food? Or also the setting?

Right, we now have 16 Champagne Girls signed up and I just sent an email to DCL to see if they are willing to host Champagne girls for us.

Marise,
once I have heard back from my contact and know that she is definitely the right person to talk to, I will PM you her details.

Corinna

I am sure I signed up but I have been AWOL for a while, glad this is still on....well, still reading, glad that we may still be on if we get 25 ladies. Hedgie doesn't count, sorry!

I would assume that the character breakfast will take place on the two sea days plus the Tracy Arm day.

How is everyone getting to the terminal in Vancouver?

We are planning on flying into Seattle.
From there, we are debating driving up or taking the train.

Let's talk about this.
Trying to find the cheapest / easiest option for us.

Thanks!

We gave up on the "cheapest" and went with the "easiest" to fly into Vancouver and look around the city for a day or two before the ship sails.

Fantastic, I'll get DH on designing a lanyard card (like how I volunteered him? :lmao:). I'll wait to see what our FE logo is like and I might end up incorporating that into it as well. Though I like the idea of a globe since we have DisBoard members from all around the globe on this sailing :thumbsup2 If I need any help, I'll definitely let you know Matt. Thanks!

Can you PM me her Etsy shop? My DH wants us to do embarkation day shirts, but I'm not sure if I'm going to get around to doing it myself. Thanks!

Did I miss the lanyard sign-up thread?

And we are still debating about embarkaction day shirts as well....
If you get the esty shop can you pm to me as well?
Thanks.

What do you not like about PC? Menu and food? Or also the setting?

The setting is fine, the food is fine, the menus are fine.

My food allergies combined with the menu choices were the problem for me.
Seems on the night the menu is Carribean- the two things I am allergic to were in almost every food choice on the menu.

I have since learned to ask to see the menu the night before. ALso not to be too shy to ask them to make it up in a way I can eat it.

Setting and food. Mostly the food. The setting is very Caribbean. Food is okay here, Animators and Tritons have better food, i think. It's just my opinion and I'm sure there will be others who disagree with me.

I hear you on this one. I love Parrot Cay and I love the menu, but I have a severe allergy to bananas and this and the Pirate Menu are the most dangerous for me.

I did have a look at some Navigators from last year and it looks like that on the Alaska cruises they served A Taste of Alaska as the rotational menu at Parrot Cay so this may not be a concern.

Hi Cruisin Nick! This was our least favorite MDR last time we cruised also. But when I called DCL about another matter they said that our "Taste of Alaska" menu would be at Parrot Cay and that would be its sgnature menu!! So we are going to give it another try, Aloha, Karen and Ron;)
