Wonder in Alaska!!! May 27, 2013

I'm not sure, but I'm wondering if perhaps you would get more response if you posted up pictures...
I mentioned your offer to my family and I was actually surprised to learn that all the women in my group seem to have secretly been keeping tiaras around or know exactly where to find them. Who would’ve thought? Lol

That's a great suggestion. Now I will have to find someone to teach me how to do it. Give me a few days. LOL! I am the least technical person I know. I bought one for my best friend and when I told her about it she said, "Oh! Well, I think I have one around here somewhere." Cracked me up. All these closet princesses - show yourselves!

Hey everyone!

This is Jon and Janae and we just signed up for this cruise. This year our plan was September on the Fantasy in the Eastern Caribbean, but we got the itch and decided to move up our cruise to May so that we could have a nice first anniversary trip in a new and exciting place--Alaska! We sailed on the Fantasy last year for our honeymoon in the Western Caribbean and it was fantastic! That being said, we apologize for the tardiness, but we would love to be apart of the FE if there is still room!

Jon and Janae

Welcome on board. The cut off for the FE exchange is not until April 1st so there is plenty of time yet.

Looks like you filled up. Can I ask who you are going with?

Yes, I'm sorry, I got a PM from someone else first. popcorn:: I didn't see your post, my dd said that you had commented, I had to come back and look. Sorry!

Um...I will ask my DH and let you know. I know he is a single guy, I think he owns two boats, and I can ask him, or have my DH ask him if he has another boat to go out on. We found him to be cheaper. He also said the cruise ship excursion go to the north of the bay where you can only keep the fish under a certain size. Where he goes in the south bay, there is no size limit.

I'll post tomorrow or the next day, my dh may be leaving town, so I'm not sure I can get it right away.

I just looked up the temperature for May and June. The average will be between 55 and 60 degrees and 16 hours of daylight! :cheer2:

No problem. We weren't certain what we wanted to do. I have been researching independant tours, but it is just my husband and I, so most are a little more expensive. I look forward to your info:)

Good morning,

I see that this is the 2nd or more trip to Alaska for some of us. My Question is what would you do again or do differently?

TIA,
Kevin

Just a heads up, I just got off the phone with DCL and when I asked about our Pirates night I was informed that is listed as a PIXAR PARTY night. It is still Friday the fifth night, but not called a Pirate night:rolleyes1 Of course I already knew that fireworks are not allowed in Alaska, but this was news to me! Aloha, Karen

There are two Disney movies that are going to be released in theaters before our cruise departure. I'm sure these will be showing on our cruise.

March 8, 2013: Oz the Great and Powerful
May 3, 2013: Iron Man 3

That's interesting!! Does that mean I shouldn't pack our pirate outfits?? We were Jake and the neverland pirates this year (even at Disney World for MNSSHP) was kinda excited to tell the kids they were going to dress up again.
However, they love all Pixar movies, so.....

Also, I dont think Oz and Iron Man 3 are part of Pixar, but I am not certain.

The first DCL cruise we had not seen the Pirate Night activities so had no idea what they did not do.

Now that I have seen it on a Carribean cruise-- they were very limited on what they did.

Alaska has noise laws to protect the environment. Our Pirate show was indoors. No way was it the same.

They didn't even play the sound for funnel vision at times depending on where we were.

Pixar Night can work for me. No idea what it is so no expectations.

Thanks for the fantastic news, Karen! :3dglasses
Funny as I was just thinking that Pirates just don't work in AK. Lumberjack night, maybe. Pixar will be fun! My daughter just asked if she could dress up as Barbie... um, no, Little Bo Peep, maybe!
