For Wednesday, our group is getting a ZipCar and going to Golden Gate Park to view the Japanese Garden there and maybe take in the Tea House for lunch/brunch. Also there's is supposed to be a really great playground for the kiddies there too. Then off to visit the Walt Disney Museum located in The Presidio. Thursday is a visit to Alcatraz for the tour there then taking a bus up to the Coit Tower Park for pictures and the view, then riding the Embarcadero bus to the Civic Center area to pick up the Cable Car for a trip back up to Bay/Taylor turn around, then heading back to the ship from there. Of course there will be stops for food and pictures all along the way for all these excursions. Thats what we have planned. Hope this helps!

Hi. We are doing San Francisco Wednesday on our own. Bought tickets to the Disney Family Museum. Everything is in reasonable walking distance of the port.So we'll just walk around. Maybe have dinner in ChinaTown. Heard from a lady that use to live there, that the next block over from the main street of China town is where you want to eat.Thursday we're doing the Disney Excusion to Alcatraz. I am really excited to show DH San Francisco!! He's never been. He's an Eact Coast guy.Hope to meet you.

You are welcome. I am not in charge of the FE's but they are both closed. They needed to have an end date so that the lists could get out before people left, some of our group are already at DL. Some people make their gifts and needed to know the numbers so they would have time to prepare.

Do you mean IGT, OGT or VGT? Those are the discounted restricted rates and sometimes don't get assigned until the week of the cruise (from experience we've done this and been assigned. 1-2 weeks before the cruise). GTYs are usually assigned much sooner. Like we booked a GTY last month and got an assignment later that same day.

Hope you got a good location We got a 5A and are midship so that's perfect for us The only thing better would have been a 4A cabin that's slightly larger but there's only 2 adults so I am smiling

you're very lucky! we weren't able to do VGT this time but in the past have gotten cat 6 - solid white wall both times we've done it!

We got a 5B, this is our 6th Disney Cruise, first as gold members.
This is the usual category we have booked in the past. So its great for us.
We saved 30% on the price.

We already know we're cruising next August --- a large group of friends from across the US and Canada are meeting up for a Disney vacation. I'm going to book on board This cruise was a somewhat last minute thing, we just booked 2.5 weeks ago or so.

I have a feeling we may start to tack on 3 or 4 night cruises to our WDW vacations. ((I've yet to inform my husband of this scheme. ))
