Can someone tell me a little bit about pirate night? I thought it was a themed dinner, but it appears that it's a party on deck that's later in the evening. It seems like it doesn't start until 9:45, is that right? not sure I want to invest in any dress up clothes for my little one since I don't think she'll make it that late.

Pirate Night is essentially a three part affair. It starts mid afternoon with Pirate themed game shows, Pirate Trivia and photo opportunities with the characters in their Pirate outfits. Captain Hook and Mr Smee and Captain Jack Sparrow are also on hand for photos. Then comes the Pirates in the Caribbean dinner. The last element is the actual Pirate party, which starts out with a deck party followed by fireworks and a buffet. We have only been to the Pirate party once and tend to head to Palo for dinner that night, but I still like to get dressed up for the photos.

It's a themed dinner and you get red bandanas at dinner to wear with pirate mickey on it. Then there is a deck party starting at 9:45pm with a show, fireworks and a buffet that opens well after 10pm. I wish it was earlier too and the buffets were in the MDRs or something. The buffet gets crazy crowded and my toddler has never been awake to see the show or fireworks but I've seen tons of kids and even babies out at that time. Some people are dressed up at dinner or for photos before dinner...I just got my dd a disney pirate mickey + minnie shirt but probably won't bother again this year.

We hear about the Fish Extender groups. Anyone got a Fish Extender Group going for the May 2013 Disney California Coast Cruise? There are 3 of us (DH, DD, me)

Welcome on board. There were two Fish Extender groups, the original one and then a second one for late joiners, but they are both closed now.

Thanks Dolphingirl47. Bummer! We just heard about FE yesterday and since this was our first cruise I was excited to do it. Maybe next time....

Looking for an FE group! I know this is pretty late in the game, but I just found out about FE yesterday. Went to the Facebook page and requested to join our cruise group (May 20th Wonder), but still no response. Please let me know if you can add another family of 3 - one child. I am happy to just exchange with other late comers

I'm not doing the FE exchange but I think you're the 3rd or 4th latecomer that wants to join a group so maybe you guys can form your own FE group. Some people in other groups may participate in another group as well. Good luck!

First off, I want to say thank you to everyone for answering my previous posts - as you can tell this is my first time on a Disney Cruise so I appreciate your input!

I was wondering if there are any tips or tricks you would give a first timer? What do you wish you had known the first time around? I will be there with my husband and our 2 and 5 year old daughters.

Also, is there a show every night? Where could I find a list of what the shows are?

Seeing all the newcomers who want to join the FE groups late, I was wondering - is there a way that the late comers could flag their FEs in some way so others would know that they aren't a member of either of the two closed groups?
I'm not doing FEs, but I usually bring some little treats for "pixie dust emergencies". If I saw a FE with, say, a purple bow on it, I could drop something in, and other purple bow folks could do the same.
This is only my second Disney cruise, and haven't done FE, so don't know if there is another approach that's been used to share the magic.

Well, after trying to make a million moving puzzle pieces fit together for a few months, we made the leap and have jumped onboard for this cruise! Woohoo!

This will by my and DH's four Disney cruise onboard the Disney Wonder. We can't wait!

I have read through the entire thread and am caught up on everything here. Looks like most of the "chat" about this cruise is happening on facebook? I will send a request.

I would be open to doing a third FE group if there are enough of us.

Anyway, just wanted to say, "Hi!"

Anybody else puzzled when looking to book online from the hotel to cruise terminal that the Supershuttle Website is asking for flight info???

I wonder if it'll be worth calling rather than booking online... just in case!
