Wonder getting REPO'ed to Vancouver!: May 20th, 2013 Official Thread!

Thank you Kathymford! The Anabella looks very nice and the price is right. I feel better about possibly booking it after hearing that you have stayed there and liked it.
Even though the Anabella is technically across the street, it is on the back side of California Adventure and is quite a long walk. Look into Howard Johnson's on Harbor and Park Vue Inn, both across the street from Disneyland. Also, Candy Cane Inn is next to California Adventure and is a quick walk.

Corinna - Thank you! If I'm at a Good Neighbor hotel would I still make DCL ressies for shuttle transfers from the Grand Californian through the GNHotel or DCL?
I've got so much to learn!

You would make the arrangements directly through DCL.

Thank you Corinna and Susie for the info.

I've been searching for a site that would have a map of the DL Resort area including hotels. Does anyone have any idea where I might find this? Thanks again for all of your help and suggestions!

The website is not the most user-friendly website I have come across. I actually had to Google this.

If you have a AAA office near you stop in and pick up their D'land Resort book. I used it as a guide to book a good neighbor hotel the last 2 times we've gone out there. I didn't book the hotel thru AAA, just used the book for locations. Now for the life of me I can't remember the name of the one we stayed it, but we loved to location - right across the street and next to an iHop. The hotel was actually closer to the parks and DTD than if we had stayed at Paradise Pier.

I can pick up the booklet, that includes all the area hotels, at DLR later this week and send it to you. Send me a PM with your address. We are leaving for the Fantasy at the end of the week, so it might go out after I get back.

This sounds like the Red Lion Hotel, which used to be a Radisson.

Thank you jilljill - I'll head to AAA first thing tomorrow morning. :goodvibes

I've taken a little detour and have started reading your trip reports.:thumbsup2 I'm enjoying them very much.

I really have to work on the next installment of the Hawaii one. Life is crazy at the moment so I don't have much time to spend on the trip report. Still, the next vacation is not until November so I have plenty of time.

That's definatley not the name. When I go back to Delaware next week I'll see if I still have my AAA book and look it up there.

That is so sweet of you! I have PM'd you my address.
Have a wonderful time on the Fantasy!

You are welcome. I still like have a piece of paper to reference and not scroll thru the internet when doing this type of research. Plus the book lists the amenities of the hotels in a single spot without having have to flip from screen to screen and search for them.

I'm just up to "Cheating on the Mouse". Enjoyed seeing your photos as it certainly helps to put faces to names.:wave2: Back to vacation planning . . .

I've just booked this cruise and I am so out of my element! This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise but the first one on the west coast. Also we've been to Disney World almost yearly for over 30 years but I haven't been to Disneyland in over 25 years and my dh has never been. I need lots of help and advice from my fellow DISer's. :-)

Some initial questions I have are:

What port (city) will we be sailing out of?
How far is the port from DL?
Does Disney offer transportation from DL to the port?
Any hotel recomendations?
Lastly (for now) we want to do 3 days at DL and possibly a bus tour of LA - if we stay near DL can we pick up a bus tour locally?

Thanks for any help you can provide. I've got lots of homework to do.:)

Hi everybody,
Is anybody doing the Back to Back on this cruise.:banana:We will be at Disneyland the night before the cruise and thought it would be great to get together:goodvibesAny suggestions or ideas of where to meet would be great.:cool1:If there is something already set up we would like to be included:moped:

We are doing the back to back and if all goes according to plan, we will arrive the Thursday before the cruise. We have not decided yet where we are going to stay. If we stay at Disneyland, I would definitely be up for a meet, but we may just stay with friends.

A good spot for a meet would be the lobby of the Grand Floridian by the fire place.
