Wonder ~ February 6 2011 ~ Mexican Riviera

I am starting to obsess about excursions. What we should do, book through Disney or go out on our own. I really wish that Disney would post theirs already for MR!

Got mail from Disney today :cool1: A Bon Voyage letter with info on the Mexican Riviera Cruise :thumbsup2 Can't wait to read it!

My hubby (Bob) just surprised me and my daughter (Sarah) with this cruise. This will be our first cruise and we are super excited . My daughter will have just turned 6 the week before we leave!

In Puerta Vallarta we are going to where they filmed "Predator". There is a neat little waterfall there and the kids all play in the water.
In Matzalan we are going to Stone Island for the day. we are going on our own, but we have read that it is super easy to do without a guide, and MUCH less expensive. My youngest really wants to swim with a dolphin, so I'm going to try and find one in Cabo, if the price is right!

I saw online that they have swimming with the dolphins in Puerto Vallarta....my daughter wants to do that so bad!

We want to do a dolphin excursion too. Not sure if we will do it in Cobo or Puerto Vallerta. We are thinking about doing a horse ride on Stone Island.

alaskanabbott I would like more info on the waterfall. It sounds like a lot of fun.

I'll see what I can dig up for you. We use to go there in the summer all the time before I moved to Alaska. We would rent a "thing" which is basiclly a jeep w/o any doors, and for 5 bucks they will take you to the waterfall.

Ok here is some info on El Eden...you'll want to take a taxi :)

My family and I will be on the cruise, this is our first cruise and first Disney cruise. We are huge Disney fans and have had season passes to the CA parks for the last 14 years. We will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, our youngests 7th birthday and my husbands 40th while on the ship. There are 4 of us, Myself and my husband and our 2 daughters age 9 and 6/7. We are also traveling with my mother in law and her husband and my brother in law, his wife and their two kids, son is age 5 and daughter is age 6. We are really looking forward to this. We have set up Meet Up's at DCA and DL many times and look forward to the meets on the ship! Not sure what info you need from us, but we are really looking forward to this vacation!

We will also be taking our kids out of school for the week. They will be in third and fourth grade. Hoping they stay healthy!

Thanks for the info about the Predator set, my husband and son will love this. They are going this weekend to see the new Predator movie. It looks really neat.

We have been playing the airfare game and trying to figure out to go ahead and buy or wait. We are also heading to Disney for a week in September so busy working out last minute details on that trip!

Anyone done research on hotels to stay at before the cruise? I am just now starting to look into that.

If you stay around DL you can get a really cheap room. We are flying into San Diego and going to Legoland and the SD wild animal park, then driving up to LA the night before the cruise.
