Wonder ~ February 6 2011 ~ Mexican Riviera

we just got a room assignment on one of the three rooms we booked...it's on deck 7....I'm not sure if that's good or not but it's pretty cool to at least know :)

We are also on deck 7. Would they put your other rooms on a different floor?

I don't think so. I talked to a CM today and he said he was putting a note in our file that we would like the rooms close together, and he linked us for dining too. I think it may make it so we don't get "pixie dusted" but we don't plan on spending much time in the room anyway. What do you think of deck 7? I think it's good because we're close to the top, and our room is directly across from the elevators and stairs.

I think deck 7 will be a good location. Closes to the pool and top deck and the childrens club to where we could use stairs if need be. The only thing that I am worried about if we are in the very front of the ship and we have always been middle or back.

I think we are in the very back. Is it usual to have a room assignment this far out? I thought I read that you don't get them until 6 weeks before the cruise. I'm happy with the room in that it has the pull down bed, and one of my boys wanted that very bad.
Do your girls really enjoy the cruise? My youngest will be 6 and loves everything Disney, but we do hope that she'll want to play in her "area" sometimes so we can relax a little.

We've had deck 7 on two cruises and it was perfect!

How do you find out if your room has a pull down bed?
This will be our daughters frist cruise but we are hoping for the same. They are usually pretty good about situations like this because they have each other.

Anyone else have to take their kids out of school for the week? That is the one downfall of this trip. I couldn't get the correct spring break week. The kids don't mind though. ;) :)

Yes, we are. I don't mind with the elementary kids, but we also have two middle schoolers and two high schoolers, and they are even more upset about it than I am.

We have a 5th grader and a 9th grader who are really good students. I am not worried in the least about them making up the work but worried about how the schools are going to react. They can be a real pain about it. :confused3 I am hoping our dd's Spanish teacher will be happy she is going to Mexico though. :)

Yep ~ but so long as they don't get sick *luckily they're healthy kids* it's the only days they'll miss for this coming school year - I'll have a 5th & 2nd grader.

All of our 4 boys will be missing school also, preschool,1st grade, 3rd grade and 6th. I have never taken them out of school before ( for a vacation). What do u tell the school?:confused3

Our kids will be missing school. They will be in 1st grade and 2nd grade and I think it will be ok.

Ours will be missing four days and have mid winter break Friday and Monday to recover which I am happy about. We took ours out for a week last year for a Disney vacation and I just gave the teacher plenty of notice and she sent some homework along. They will only be in first grade so won't be missing too much.

I'm getting antsy....I'm missing all the "planning" that needs to be done for a WDW trip....hotels, dining, days at parks, etc. Now, for the cruise it seems like a lot of just sit and wait....room booked...DONE! I need something to obsess on! :lmao:lmao:

Can anyone relate?
