Wonder ~ February 6 2011 ~ Mexican Riviera

I enjoyed doing it :cheer2:. I think only a moderator can move a post to the top .
As far as that being the final list, I don't think so cause you're right, it's not sold out yet. I checked and they just opened up more 11b's. When a couple of days ago, they had none. All cat 11's are GTY. I checked cause one of the rooms we booked is an 11b and I'm hoping for an upgrade :wizard: :upsidedow

Here's hoping you have some pixiedust: sent your way!

Well all - sorry to say goodbye....I was really looking forward to meeting you all but we canceled our cruise this morning. The continuing flare ups in the drug war finally pushed us over the tipping point on it being what we really want to do on our vacation. We were able to score an amazing rate at the Boardwalk for the same week you all will be on the boat, and I will have dinner at Flying Fish for my birthday!:cool1:

I hope you all have smooth sailing and a lovely time.

Kate

We canceled yesterday and booked for WDW instead. We have decided to do the Caribbean and Castaway Cay next year. Several factors in our decision, James' health right now, hubby's work, and the violence in Mexico. Have a great trip, so sorry we are out :(

We are still in. The violence in Mexico is not in the port or tourist areas, (with the exception of Acapulco) which has been bad for the last few years. If the port/tourist areas become more dangerous before we sail, we will still go and just stay on the ship.
I feel safer there than in Los Angeles!

Though all of the discussion and people backing out are making me nervous we are still in and looking forward to our upcoming cruise. We were in Cancun last February and many people could not believe that we were traveling to Mexico. We did not feel scared at all and just stayed in popular locations.

We have been planning and dreaming of this cruise for years, so we are still a go pirate: We trust that Disney will keep us safe :grouphug:

We were south of Cancun in May and felt perfectly safe also.

Hey everyone. I just got out the phone with Disney and switched our cruise to the Magic Caribbean. They are offering kids sail free when you book a verandah cabin so we went ahead and changed our reservation. Hope you guys all have a wonderful time!

We went to San Pedro on Sunday to watch the Mariner sail off and dream about our sail away coming up in February!

I just made our final payment! Now to start saving for excursions.

I was a little disappointed because I used my Disney Visa to pay for the entire cruise and when I gave the code for $50 obc I was told that I could not use it because of the KSF:sad1:

That really stinks! Sorry!! :sad2: Those OBC's are great to have...

Hi all. We have had this booked for a while. And we are still in. I also had a January 15 eastern booked and we debated canceling this one but with the KSF promo we could not pass it up. So, as long as we get time off for both we are in (will know early Dec)! We are still keeping the Eastern for now but will be leaving the 13 year old home. DH thinks I am crazy to just get back from one to go again two weeks later. Yea, we may be changing the easthern untill later.
We have two cabins.
Me, DH, DS (2 ½ ) & DD (1 ½ )
DM (60), DG (84), DS (13), Sons best friend (12)
Is it wrong that we are sticking the grandmas with the teen’s boys? Then again we are getting the babies who wake up early.
The babies are motived to be potty trained so they can use the Mickey pool that we keep seeing on the computer and you tube. This will be 2 year olds 3cruise all on Disney, his last was a year ago so he barley remembers much. The 1 year old will be on her third and knows nothing but that Mickey is really cool and we keep looking at a ship on the computer.

I hope this thread picks up so we can get to know everyone. I would like to do a fish extender to add to the experience for my son’s friend also if anyone is interested. Sooo, who all do we have now for this cruise as a lot of people have dropped?

We just realized we sail on SuperBowl Sunday!

Hi all. Sooo, who all do we have now for this cruise as a lot of people have dropped?

We are still in! :woohoo: There will be 8 of us - our family and our best friends' family as well. This includes dh and I and our 2 dds 15 and 11. The other family consists of dh and dw and their 2 dds (twins) both 15.

This cruise is starting to feel more real the closer we get!! It's really neat that we will be on for Super Bowl Sunday!! :goodvibes

Hi there-
We have just 'jumped ship' from the May 10th sailing to Alaska to join you all on this cruise. Looking forward to it!

Our family includes-
Me, DH, DD 10 and DD 6.

Is anyone doing FE's? With all the kids on this cruise, maybe just FE's for the kids?
